SELECTION PROCESS (Upd. 4/12/19)
Players will be selected based on the most recent published NC standing list. Players
must have some standing points in order to be considered to compete in a
NC L4 tournament. If players do not have a standing, they should
compete in a NC L5 event. The names of players who have been selected will appear as “Competitors.”
after the tournament deadline when selections are made. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot participate.
Seeding & Selections
Seeding and Selections will be determined using
the current NC Standings at the time (typically within 24 hours of the
tournament deadline). NCTA guidelines do not allow postponing selections until the next Standings lists are released. Tournament
deadlines are staggered based on the tournament tier to allow players
the opportunity to register for lower tiered events if they are not
selected. If you do not meet the requirements of a particular event by the tournament deadline do not expect to be selected.
If you are playing up or are an out-of-state player you must request consideration for seeding via email.
***CONSOLATION ROUND CHANGES***
If we have 5 people or less, we will play a round robin 6-8 people you play out the consolation finals (because of match count). 9-16 players, the finals of the consolation is not played out (both
players that reach finals will receive the same number of standing
points).
