MOJO 2019 Dedicated in memory and honor of Tess Wieland
Dear MOJO Players and Parents, It is with deepest sympathy and condolences that we at RMTC dedicate this year's Mountain Ocean Junior Open in memory of Tess Wieland. Beloved mother of Raphael (affectionately our own "Rafa") ,beloved wife of Stephen, Tess passed away earlier this year due to complications arising from Lupus. The Wielands have always been such an important part of our Colorado tennis family, and Tess will be missed terribly at the MOJO. We at RMTC invite you to join us in making a donation to the Lupus Foundation of America in Tess' honor. (Please see the above link to donate.) Our deepest sympathy to the Wieland family, Rocky Mountain Tennis Center Tournament Team, Coaches, and full Tennis Staff

Welcome to the Colorado State Mountain Ocean Junior Open

DRAWS WILL BE LIMITED!

Tournament Format & Scoring - NEW for 2019! Compass Draws
All draws are limited to 32 players in singles and will utilize Compass Draws or NEF for singles and first match consolation for all doubles events. This will provide a minimum of 3 matches of singles, 2 matches of same gender doubles, and 2 matches of mixed doubles! Get your favorite partner and get ready for a lot of tennis!!
All doubles draws greater than 3 teams will be using the fast-becoming-popular "FAST-FOUR" scoring format with the idea of promoting a "2 out of 3" format for doubles. The version of "Fast-Four" we will be using is a USTA approved scoring format of 2 sets to 4 games with tiebreakers to 7 points (win by 2) to decide each set at 4-4 and a 7-point tiebreaker in lieu of a 3rd set. [Doubles draws of 3 teams or fewer will be playing 2 out of 3 sets to 6 games with a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set.]
Singles scoring format for all main and consolation draws will be 2 out of 3 sets to 6 games with a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set.
Please be aware that due to the number of matches and singles, doubles, and mixed, players will be limited to one age group for singles and doubles. but may play a different age group for mixed. (This is a recent decision due to the new scheduling, which will feature same gender doubles first Friday-Sunday, followed by mixed Monday & Tuesday.)
This is a 12's Green Ball Series Event. We strongly support Green ball play to the highest levels of 12 & under competition! We encourage our open level juniors aged 12 & under to take this wonderful opportunity to compete their hardest with each other on the ball that doesn't bounce so high!

From Folsom, instead of turning east onto Taft you go a
