Ardrey Well High School (B18s & B16s)
Matches are set to go and will be played according to the schedule set this morning which is:
If your match was scheduled for 8am, your new match time is 10am.
If your match was scheduled for 9:15am, your new match time is 10:45am.
If your match was scheduled for 10:30am, your new match time is 11:30am.
If your match was scheduled for 11:45am, your new match time is 12:30pm.
All matches scheduled for 1pm or later will be as scheduled, but the Site Referee can give you an update after your first match is completed.


Marvin Ridge High School (B14s):
Matches are set to go and will be played according to the schedule set this morning which is:
If your match was scheduled for 8am, your new match time is 10am.
If your match was scheduled for 9:15am, your new match time is 10:45am.
If your match was scheduled for 10:30am, your new match time is 11:30am.

Providence Country Club (B12s):
THE BOYS 12 SINGLES SATURDAY MATCHES ARE NOW GOING TO BE PLAYED AT SARDIS SWIM & RACQUET CLUB (7400 Thermal Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211). We have completely rescheduled the draws. ALL MATCH TIMES ARE CORRECT ON THE DRAW SHEET FOR THE REST OF THE DAY! All matches will go back to Providence Country Club for Sunday.


Blakeney Racquet & Swim Club (All other events):

We will post INCLEMENT WEATHER UPDATES here on the website at specified intervals so you know what is going on. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE DIRECTOR, REFEREE OR THE CLUB. We are working to get players and their parents timely information on what is happening.

Important Information for this weekend:
- Draws have been posted.
- All match times and locations are listed on the draws. We are using the following sites: BRSC - Blakeney Racquet & Swim Club; AKHS - Ardrey Kell High School; PCC - Providence Country Club; MRHS - Marvin Ridge High School.
- Players can go directly to their match site for Player Check-In and they matches. ALWAYS BE AT YOUR MATCH SITE A MINMUM OF 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOUIR MATCH.
- LATENESS PENALTIES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. TRAFFIC IS NOT AN EXCUSE.
- The USTA Site Referee at each site are there for rules interpretations and to solve any issues between players. Line judges for matches will NOT be provided. All players should understand the rules of tennis and how to play a tiebreaker. A staff volunteer will be on court for all 10 & under matches.
- Scoring Format will be best two-of-three tiebreak sets with a match tiebreaker in lieu of a full third set with regular scoring. The 10 & under division will be the best two-of-three tiebreak short sets to 4 with a tiebreaker at 4-4 and match tiebreaker in lieu of a full third set with regular scoring.

Player selection has been completed for all draws. The Top 16 players in each age division that have points for standings in that age division have been selected to the Level 4 event. All other players who were selected, but were not in the top 16 for that age division, were placed in a Dependent Level 5 Draw event. The Boys 14 Singles does have 13 alternates for the event.

Each draw will be limited to 16 players with a Feed in thru Quarterfinals (FICQ); there will be a 3/4 playoff match.
Consolations of full 16-draw events play to Semi-finals



Doubles draws will be limited to 8 teams. There may be a dependent draw offered in doubles depending on the number of entrants.

Singles play will be on Saturday and Sunday only for this tournament.
Doubles play could begin as early as 5pm on Friday afternoon.
Start times and locations will be found on this tournament home page by noon Thursday prior to the tournament start.
Players are encouraged to be at the tournament check-in 30-minutes prior to their scheduled match time to ensure timely scheduling. USTA Rules will be enforced for lateness.

Our referee will be available throughout the weekend to answer questions and to enforce the rules, but we DO NOT supply line judges for matches. Matches going to tie-breakers will be expected to play according to “The Code” as all other games played. Parents/Coaches are expected to conduct themselves also in accordance to “The Code” to ensure fair play. Players are expected to make their own calls in accordance with the procedures outlined in "The Code" in Friend at Court.

This area has the potential to be an enforceable code violation by each tournament for unexcused defaults, retirements, no-shows/walkovers for both main and consolation rounds. Player shall not fail to appear for reasons other than injury, illness, or personal circumstance. A player shall not enter a tournament and then fail to appear for a match (whether in the qualifying, main, or consolation draw) except for illness, injury, or personal circumstance. If the player’s reason for failing to appear is not one of these reasons, or if the player gives no reason for failing to appear, then the match shall be recorded as a default.

Players will be selected based on the current published NC standing list. Players from other states may be selected after priority is given to NC players who have a standing in the age division entered and given priority over NC players who do not have a standing.
Players 14U-18U: Player must have one of the following:
-Some NC/other state standing
-A verifiable player record, i.e. JTT, High School, Middle School, other district/sectional rank
Players in 12U: L4 12U players must have established 12U tournament standing with prior NC L5 12U points per round; L4 12U events are not part of YTP. Special circumstances for player acceptance may need approval from NCTA office of Player Development & Tournaments prior to acceptance.

In order to truly enjoy the sport of tennis, it is essential to display good sportsmanship which includes abiding by the rules, playing fair, and showing respect for your opponent. We expect that ALL players who compete this weekend abide by guidelines set forth by "THE CODE". This tournament is considered an Orange L1 event for 10U players, singles divisions only. With prior approval from NCTA, 10U events may be combined OL1 with OL2 and/or co-ed divisions to increase competition experience. Co-ed divisions will not receive standing points. Player shall not enter two tournaments at same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing. After a player has been eliminated from a tournament whose schedule of play partially overlaps with that of a second tournament, the player may enter the second tournament .Per Friend at Court, USTA REGULATIONS IV.C. (Standards of Conduct)

This option is for Level 4 Tournaments that are not geographically near a Level 5 Tournament and at facilities that have the courts, with prior approval of NCTA office. The top 16 players with standing points will be selected into Level 4 draw, 17+ (not in top 100) will be placed in a “dependent draw”, a Level 5, also up to 16 players in standing order for seeding. Players will earn standing points for the event level they play
