Draws & First Match Check-In
Draws with all match times have been posted. Players may report directly to their playing site for check-in for their first match. Players should check-in 30 minutes prior to their first match. LATENESS PENALTIES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED, even if they report to the incorrect site.
Doubles play will begin promptly at 5pm and will be completed on Friday evening. All doubles play will be held at Blakeney Racquet & Swim Club.
Singles play will begin at 8am on Saturday. Singles will be held at three separate sites: Boys 12s Singles will be at Providence Country Club, Boys 18s, Boys 16s and Boys 14s will be held at Ardrey Kell High School. All other divisions will be held at Blakeney Racquet & Swim Club.

Player Selections - Completed on Monday June 24th
Player Selections for tournament have been completed. Players were selected for either the L4 Event or the L5 event according to the policies and procedures for USTA/North Carolina. The confirmation email you will receive from the USTA will state that they are selected for the Blakeney Junior Open NCL4, however this confirmation is sent to ALL PLAYERS selected into the L4 AND L5 events.
To see which draw you have been selected for (L4 or L5), please look under the specific division under the COMPETITORS TAB on the tournament webpage.
Player Selections were made based on the standings list published by USTA/North Carolina dated June 17, 2019.

DOUBLES ENTRIES
We will continue to accept doubles entries until Midnight on Tuesday Evening. Players may use the Tournament Facebook Group Page to secure and finalize doubles partners. We MUST receive confirmation from BOTH PLAYERS to enter the doubles team into the draw.
All doubles will be played on Friday evening beginning at 5pm. The draw is single elimination and there is a maximum of eight teams in each doubles draw. Priority for entry will be given to players entered into that age division's L4 Singles event.

Tournament Facebook Group
We have created a Facebook Group for the USTA Tournament to facilitate in finalizing doubles partnerships and other tournament related communication. Draw Size
Each draw will be limited to 16 players with a Feed in thru
Quarterfinals (FICQ); there will be a 3/4 playoff match.
Consolations of full 16-draw events play to Semi-finals

Start Times
Singles play will be on Saturday and Sunday only for this tournament.
Doubles play could begin as early as 5pm on Friday afternoon.

by noon Thursday prior to the tournament start.

L4 Selection Process
Players will be selected based on the current published NC standing
list.
Players 14U-18U:
Player must have one of the following:
-Some NC/other state standing
-A verifiable player record, i.e. JTT, High School, Middle School, other
district/sectional rank
Players in 12U: L4 12U players must have established 12U tournament
standing; L4 12U events are not part of YTP.
Special circumstances may need approval from NCTA office of Player Development
& Tournaments prior to acceptance.

Sportsmanship Expectation
In order to truly enjoy the sport of tennis, it is
essential to display good sportsmanship which includes abiding by the rules,
playing fair, and showing respect for your opponent. We expect that ALL players
who compete this weekend abide by guidelines set forth by "the code".

No player will be allowed to compete in the tournament unless this
form is filled out. Please download
your copy here, complete, and turn in prior to first match to the

OPT IN!
Through Tennis Link, Tournament Directors are now able to send emails and/or
texts straight to you! You must "opt in" during
registration in the Event Communications area. You may also do so on your
"My Tennis page" after event registration. FYI, Communication is
limited to 30 days after the close of the event and to only the players who
have opted in.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, June 23, 2019 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
