Springhurst New Years Classic -- Southern Level 3

All matches will be best of three sets playing a 10 point tiebreak in lieu of a third set. Doubles is single elimination with 6 game set.

Practice courts will be available at The Tennis Club at Springhurst on December 30th up until 5:00pm for a cost of $30.00 per hour per court. These courts MUST be booked and paid for in advance by calling (502) 412-2950. Please specify that you are with the tournament.
During tournament play, The Tennis Club at Springhurst will be open at 6:30am each day of the tournament. We will have 10 courts reserved for tournament warmup and practice starting at 6:30am. We will have times available from 6:30-7:00, 7:00-7:30am, and 7:30-8:00am. Due to the limited practice courts, the warmups will be 4 players per court for $5.00 each. You must reserve your spots and PAY IN ADVANCE for the morning warmup times. All alternate sites will be open by 7:30am each day of the matches.

There is no advanced check in. You may register for the tournament 30 minutes prior to your match time at your site.

Monday December 30th 5:00pm - Doubles start (ONLY Doubles play on Monday evening)
Tuesday December 31st 8:00am - Singles play
Wednesday January 1st 8:00am - Doubles play followed by singles

USTA Southern will provide selection list. Players will be selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing list in the age division in which they apply. Players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age division standings.

Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. They would be removed from the Alternate list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Doubles will begin on the evening of Monday Dec. 30th. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED WITH A PARTNER BY TUESDAY DECEMBER 24th at 6:00pm or you will be taken off the doubles draw. If you need a partner, please check the message below. You CANNOT edit your registration online to add a partner.. Please email cmather@springhurst.com if you have a partner !! Seedings shall be done using only the results from the most recently publicized USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the lists.
Doubles Seeding: Teams shall be seeded in the order of their combined standings (e.g., Player A holds the #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A & B would have combined standing of 11.) Teams that have the same combined standing, the tie shall be broken by using the highest singles standing of the four players.
