USTA Super Category II Tournament (ITF Grade 1)
This tournament will receive USTA Super
Category II and ITF Grade 1 ranking points per round won. (Please note, the ITF only ranks Men’s & Women’s 35-85 and over
singles, doubles, and mixed. If you are
playing in any other division, you will not earn ITF ranking points). In order to receive USTA ranking points for
this tournament, a player must be a current USTA member. In order to receive ITF ranking points, a
player must have a valid ITF IPIN BEFORE the start of the tournament. To find out more information about USTA &

Non U.S. citizens may enter this tournament
without the purchase of a USTA membership. You may do so, as long as you are in
good standing with your home federation and have a current ITF IPIN. You must
also create a free USTA account. Once
you have done so, you may email the tournament director with your new USTA

Welcome to the 29th year of the Atlanta Senior
Invitational Tournament. Thank you to all our members, sponsors, club
facilities and players for your continued support of the ASI Tournament. The overall
prize money for the 2019 ASI Tournament is approximately $25,000. We look forward
to a great tournament in 2019!

Entries and Deadlines:
Entries will be done through the on-line tennislink registration
system at www.USTA.com. Registration is open to all eligible USTA members.
Entries must be submitted by TUESDAY, April
23, 2019 for SINGLES and DOUBLES. Only USTA members can register online if
available. The final selection of entries will be made by the ASI Tournament
Committee. The online DEADLINE for entries will be TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. If you are interested in
playing DOUBLES you must sign up and pay for doubles by the deadline. You can pair/sign up with your doubles
partner by Thursday, May 2, 2019 by 5 p.m. by emailing or contacting Beth (you
must be registered and paid online by April 23). Contact Beth at firstname.lastname@example.org
before April 23 so we may post it on the website that you are looking for a
doubles partner. Note: if you pay for doubles and do not find a partner you
will be refunded your ASI entry fee for doubles.

tournament will refund your portion of the tournament entry fee. If you would

please let Beth know. If the event is full you will go on the wait list for

that the doubles draws will be limited to 8- 12 teams and if needed, we will
look for an opening in a lower age group.

Tennis Attire at the ASI Tournament:
TENNIS ATTIRE: ALL players will be required to wear collared tennis
shirts. T-shirts and sleeveless shirts will be NOT be allowed on the court for
practice or play. Shirts with Graphic writing are not allowed other than small
brand logos. Tennis attire & tennis shoes will be expected for play.
First event fee is: $91.88 per player singles OR
doubles--- Second event fee is $65.00 per player. NOTE: You are charged a
processing fee by the USTA that has been added to the entry fees. IF you are
put into the tournament AFTER the online deadline for singles or doubles or are
batched in - the ENTRY FEE will be $91.88 for the first event and $65.00 for
the second event. (This is for the entry plus the processing fee by USTA)
Entry Deadline andLate Entries:
Online entries close TUESDAY, April 23 at 11:59 p.m. The 30s will except entries
until Wednesday, May 1, 2019 via email to Beth with priority to those who sign
up by April 23rd if draw is full and to 30 age group appropiate
players. Late entries will be accepted to
help players find a doubles partner if they need one and the draw is not
considered full by the Tournament Committee. Doubles partners can pair up by emailing
Beth at email@example.com until May 2, 2019. Send name, division, and usta
number. Players will not be put in the tournament without a valid usta number
and fees paid.
Hotels: Tournament Hotel- Spring Hill Suites Marriott -Buckhead
your group rate for Atlanta Senior Invitational 2019
Newly renovated and
updated Spring Hill Suites Marriott at 3459 Buckhead Loop, NE, Atlanta, GA
30326 is the tournament hotel. This hotel is about 5-10 minutes from Cherokee
Town Club depending on traffic. ASI players rate will be $122.00 plus tax per
night for a “King or Queen/Queen Suite” rooms" with complimentary breakfast
and wifi for overnight guests. Note: Parking not included. There is a hotel
shuttle that runs to a limited area that is on a first come first serve basis.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS must be made by the players individually. The ASI block for the tournament is for May
6 - 13, 2019. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room
deposit or guarantee with a major credit card. Players may contact reservations
at 1-888-287-9400 or directly with the hotel at 404-844-4800. Make sure to tell
them you are part of the "Atlanta
Senior Invitational Tournament Room Block”. RESERVATION OFFER DEADLINE: Thursday,

The age groups for the men's events will be:
30sd, 35sd, 40sd, 45sd, 50sd, 55sd, 60sd, 65sd, 70sd, 75sd, 80sd and father/son
open division. Please let Beth know if you are interested in playing in the
Father-Son Event as your 3rd event at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Number of Playing Events:
Players may ONLY
enter two events, but may ONLY play in one singles event. *Players may play in
a third event if that third event is the Father-Son Open Event. You must
contact the Tournament Director if this is your third event. Players are asked
to play in their appropriate age group. A player is eligible for specified
divisions provided he attains that age by December 31, 2019. There will be a “first match losers”
consolation for the singles tournament. There will be third and fourth play-off
for both the singles and doubles events.

refunds will NOT be given once the draws are made. Thank you!
Draws, Times and Locations:
Please note that for doubles events with 4 or
less teams we would like to start Thursday afternoon to finish by Saturday if
possible. The 30, 35, 75, and 80 singles/doubles and the Father-Son Event will
not begin before Thursday, May 9 after 2:00 p.m. All other age group “Doubles
Events” may start on Thursday, May 9 starting as early as 12:00 p.m. depending
on size of draws. Singles events will begin on Wednesday unless noted above and
will begin as early as 10 a.m. on Wednesday, 8 am on Thursday and Friday. Please register at Cherokee 1 hour before your
first match unless approved by the
Tournament Director. Note: Matches are played at alternate sites besides
Cherokee. The Father-Son doubles will not begin until Friday, May 10 after 11 a.m.
**Depending on the number of entrants in a
particular division will determine if the top seed will have to play before
Thursday. PLEASE check draws. For some groups that are smaller than 8 draws we
may begin Thursday or Friday to finish by Saturday. **Please note that 32 draws
will begin on Wednesday, May 8, 16 draws on Thursday, May 9, Quarter Finals –
Friday, May 10, Semi Finals – Saturday, May 11, and Finals – May 12 unless
groups can be finished earlier. Thanks.
Seeding will be
posted for each of the age groups for player input. The seeds can be accessed
by clicking on COMPETITORS and then selecting the event you are interested in
prior to draws being made but after the deadline.

of any time/day requests by April 23, 2019 or they will not be considered.
Please note that all efforts will be made to “try” and honor the time
requests as long as it does NOT affect the continuation of play of the tournament.
There is NO guarantee that time requests will be honored. Please note that if your time request is such that you cannot play at
all on certain days and you are in an age group that will play starting
Wednesday or Thursday then you need to reconsider entering the tournament.

Court Surface and Inclement Weather:

played at night, on hard courts and/or indoors at available facilities.
Balls and Scoring:
The Wilson US OPEN regular felt ball
will be used. Scoring for all matches will be 2 out of 3 regular set scoring
and a 12-point tie break used in any set at 6 all. Consolation Format will
be 2 sets and a 10pt Tie Break in lieu of the third set**The Tournament
Committee reserves the right to change scoring in case of inclement weather.
The Point Penalty system will be enforced. Roving umpires will be on site at
Check-in the day of your match at Cherokee Town
Club (CTCC) unless told by Tournament Director that you can go to first match
site before coming to Cherokee. Please note you must come to Cherokee to get

Tournament Selection and MATCH Times:
The Tournament Committee will list players for
the tournament beginning May 1, 2019 if not sooner. Players may inquire about
their match times online beginning Friday, May 3 after 4 p.m. There will be an
effort to post sooner if possible. Players may email email@example.com or
call 404-237-5427 if needed but times will be posted online.

something cool you know about another player. What do you do for a living? Most
interesting story you have from tennis? Famous players you've faced? Famous
people you know? Any recent accomplishments, like being inducted into your
school's sports Hall of Fame? Anything that people find interesting about you,
or anything you find interesting about another player, please share it.

once tournament is open.
All players are required to sign a waiver of
liability before play.

ASI Player Events:
Lunch: Lunch will be provided for ASI scheduled
match May 8– May 12 from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Cherokee Town Club.
(Spouses/guests may purchase lunch for $20.00)
ASI Player's Welcome Dinner: Friday, May 10 at
the Town Club Ballroom 7:00 - 9:30 p.m.
CONSOLATION MATCHES UPDATED INFORMATION:
Players who lose their first round main draw singles match are offered a
space in our consolation brackets. If you have played two matches and then
lose, you are finished in our singles' brackets. For those players who had a
bye the first round and then lost, please check for your match time in your age
group's Consolation #2. All other consolations are named Consolation.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
