There will be a 3/4 playoff for all singles divisions.

Players may go straight to their first match site to check in.

If you have asked for help finding a doubles partner please check the competitor list to see if you have been paired up by Tuesday night. I will not have time to call everyone I am pairing up.

ALL DRAWS AND MATCH TIMES ARE POSTED ON THE DRAWS. WE ARE PLAYING A LOT OF SINGLES MATCHES FRIDAY AFTERNOON/EVENING. I AM HOPING FOR NO RAIN THIS WEEKEND BUT HOPING WE GET AHEAD OF ANY WEATHER BY PLAYING MORE ON FRIDAY EVENING. PLEASE LOOK AT THE DOUBLES DRAWS AS WELL. MOST WILL START SATURDAY MORNING BUT SOME 10S DOUBLES WILL PLAY FRIDAY EVENING. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL THIS WEEKEND.

We will be giving two sportsmanship awards to two players that exhibit good sportsmanship throughout the weekend. Parents and players are encouraged to "nominate" a player by writing down the payers name and a brief description of their sportsmanship and turning it in to the tournament desk at their site.

Welcome to the SC State Open Championships held at The Citadel in Charleston, SC. This is a USTA Southern Level 4 and USTA_SC Level 2 tournament. The SC Jr. State Open is proud to be part of the TennisRecruiting.net National Showcase Series. Please read all of the information on the website before contacting the tournament director.

IT IS IMPERATVE THAT YOU ADD YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION (e-mail and phone) during the online registration process when prompted. Failure to do so might result in not being able to reach you to notify you of alternate status, time changes and draw changes. The SC State Open Championships is proud to be part of the Tennis Recruiting.net National Showcase Series. Tournaments in the National Showcases are USTA sanctioned junior tournaments open to players from all USTA Sections. These tournaments are designed to give players from all parts of the country the chance to compete outside their districts and sections. The singles events in these tournaments will count towards Tennis Recruting.net rankings. Players who compete in these tournaments and who win at least one singles match will become NATIONAL PLAYERS for their TennisRecruiting.net rankings

THERE WILL BE NO REFUND AFTER THE DEADLINE. If you need to withdraw before entries close, you MUST do so online. All withdrawals after entries close and anytime during the tournament must also be sent in writing to the Tournament Referee (jonathan_barth@kiawahresort.com).

There will be a $25 processing fee for all late entries that are accepted into the tournament. All players must register online prior to the entry deadline to be considered for selection. Late entries may be accepted after the deadline provided the division is not full and they do not affect seeding.

All singles draws are limited to 64 players. Doubles will be limited to 32 teams. Selections will be made based on the most recent USTA/SOUTHERN standings as of the deadline.

Matches may begin as early as 4:00pm Friday, September 13 singles and doubles.

You may play singles and doubles in different age groups. Example: You may play girls 12 singles and girls 14 doubles.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player prior to their first match. Please download, complete, and bring signed form to expedite player check-in. 10 & Under Youth Progression Eligibility
Please be aware this tournament has two 10 & Under Youth Progression divisions. ORANGE BALL DIVISION AND GREEN BALL DIVISION. This means that in order to play in a 10 & Under division, you must be eligible for that corresponding level. If you are not able to register for a 10 & Under singles event, that means you are not eligible for that level. To find out more information call PJ Fulmer at (803) 781-2574.

Tournament/Match Check In
BRING YOUR MEDICAL FORM TO CHECK-IN
Please check-in for the tournament 30 min. early. Tournament check-in will be available beginning Friday at 3:30 p.m. Please check into your site of play. If you are not scheduled to play Friday, the check-in is not mandatory, only check in at least 30 min. prior to your first match.

Tournament Questions
Direct all tournament questions to the Tournament Director, Tournament Organizer, or the Referee.

Seeding Criteria
The most current USTA Southern Standing List will be used for seeding purposes.

Boys and Girls 10's Green Ball Divisions
Boy's and Girl's 10's GREEN BALL divisions will be played on a 78' court using low compression green ball. Draw format will be determined by the number of participants. Scoring format as follows: 2 out of 3 short sets using NO AD scoring, first to 4 games (win by 2). A 7 point tiebreak is played if players reach 4 all. If players split sets then a 7 point tiebreak is played for the 3rd set (win by 2). THERE IS NO COACHING BETWEEN THE 2nd AND 3rd SET BREAK IN THE 10 & UNDER DIVISIONS. Doubles will be a 6 game pro set using NO AD scoring
