DETERMINING WINNING TEAMS THAT GO TO THE PLAYOFF ROUNDS
The team that wins the most matches within a Flight is the winner. If two teams are tied, then the winner of their head-to-head match is the winner. If three or more teams are tied within a Flight, the Referee shall use the following steps in the order listed to break all ties. The Referee shall break as many ties as possible using a given step before using the next step. These steps are (taken from USTA Friend at Court): 1. The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving just the tied teams; 2. The team with the highest percentage of sets won of all sets completed; 3. The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving the teams that remain tied; 4. The team with the highest percentage of games won of all games completed; 5. The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving the teams that remain tied; 6. The team with the highest percentage of sets won of sets completed among teams in the Flight under consideration; 7. The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving the teams that remain tied; 8. The team with the highest percentage of games won of games completed among the teams under consideration; 9. If the Referee has applied all the steps and a tie still cannot be broken, the Referee shall use a random drawing among the remaining tied teams to determine their order of finish.. The winner of each Round Robin Flight moves out to a single elimination draw (Playoff Rounds) into the finals, semis or quarters, depending on draw size. Any bye positions are filled by teams with the best record of the losing teams determined as follows (taken from USTA Friend at Court): 1. The team with the highest percentage of sets won of all sets completed (*); 2. The team with the highest percentage of games won of all games completed (*); 3. If the Referee has applied all the steps and a tie still cannot be broken, the Referee shall use a random drawing among the remaining tied teams to determine their order of finish. A 10-Point Match Tiebreak played in lieu of a deciding final set counts as both one set and one game for the purpose of determining the order of finish. If players inadvertently play out the third set or any portion thereof, it still counts as only one set and one game.

PLAYOFF ROUNDS GUIDELINES
Seed placement in the Playoff Rounds draw should be done as follows: 1. With a draw of 9 to 16 teams, 4 teams will come through the Round Robin Flights to the Playoff Round semi’s. If there are less than 13 teams, then one team will come through as a Lucky Loser. Then in that semifinal, #1 will play #4 and #2 will play #3. If there is no number #4 seed, then the Lucky Loser team becomes the #4 seed. 2. In a draw of 17 or more, 8 teams will come out of the Round Robin Flights into a Playoff quarterfinal. In the quarter final, #1 and #4 will be in same half but separated, and #2 and #3 will be separated in the lower half. Remaining seeds, based on number of Flights, would go against the appropriate seed, 1-8, 2-7, 3-6 & 4-5. Lucky Loser teams would go in as lower seeds and put in at random against higher seeds, but in opposite halves of team they played in the. An unseeded team who won their Flight would go in where the seeded team would have been.
