In response to the COVID-19, we will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk technology to help facilitate CDC best practices.

FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES TO ENSURE YOU'LL RECEIVE COURT ASSIGNMENTS VIA TEXT (Please Click Link To Read)
* When setting up your Match Tennis App account, all family members should sign in with the same username and password.
* Make sure you add three DIFFERENT contact numbers during the Pre Tournament Virtual Check-In THAT WILL BE ON during the tournament. They all should be cell numbers since messages will be in the form of texts. When you are called to court, all your contact phones will receive the message.
* If you need to add or change contact numbers go to “My Account” in Match Tennis App and click “Completed Waivers” to add or change contact numbers.

For the safety of all Tournament players, parents, coaches and staff we will NOT be using a physical tournament desk where social gathering is most common. We instead will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk to help facilitate CDC guidelines for social distancing. WITHDRAWALS
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online.
Click on Edit Registration, then Withdraw.
You will get a confirmation number - Keep This Number !
All withdrawals after entries close must be sent in writing by email To ridgelandtennis@bellsouth.net
Players withdrawing within 7 days of the tournament start date will not be refunded the entry fee.Must withdraw by Monday Oct 26 by 6:00pm
No telephone withdrawals are accepted.

ON SITE ALTERNATES
Onsite alternates must check in with the Referee at the respective site where playing.
|

SIGNING UP FOR TWO DIVISIONS
Player are allowed to enter 2 divisions with these guidelines:
Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division.
Players not selected to either division remain on the alternate list for both divisions, but are obligated to play in the division in which they get in.

SELECTION PROCESS
USTA Southern will provide selection list.
Players will be selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing List in the age division in which they apply.
Players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age division standings.

USTA SOUTHERN SEEDING CRITERIA
Seeding will be provided by Southern with the selection list.

FORMAT AND SCORING 12-18
The format is a Full Feed In Consolation through Quarterfinals..With a Playoff for 3rd and 4th 12-18 division.
All main draw and consolation matches play a 10 point tie break instead of a 3rd set. Regular scoring.
Consolation finals match is not played.

10 AND UNDER SCORING
The 10 U division will be Green Level 1 within the new youth progression system parameters
Green low compression balls and up to 29" racquet will be used. Play will be on a 78" court.
The required scoring format for 10 Singles matches, shall be the best of 2 short sets - AD Scoring (1st to 4 and win by 2), with a set tie break (1st to 7 and win by 2)
At 4-4 in each set, a set tiebreak ( 1st to 7 and win by 2) in lieu of the 3rd set.

LEVEL 3 FORMAT
It is a split draw of 16, unless numbers are 23 or below in the draw.

ATERNATES
The alternate list is made at the time of selection according to the Southern Standing List at that time.
Once the alternate list has been posted, this is the order that is used for the tournament.
The alternate list is updated as soon as someone withdraws.
It is alternates responsibility to see if the alternate list has changed.
Make sure your contact information is correct on your membership profile.
Once an alternate is selected to play, payment is due immediately..

LATE ENTRIES
THERE IS A $25 FEE FOR TAKING LATE ENTRIES!!Late entries taken only by email.
They will be taken in the order received.
We reserve the right to stop taking them.
If there are alternates in the division in which you wish to enter, late entries go below all other alternates, regardless of ranking.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
