***** TRAFFIC UPDATE ***** CONSTRUCTION ******
DELAWARE COUNTY CLOSED LEWIS CENTER ROAD AT THE RAILROAD TRACKS TODAY
You will need to get to the High School From State Route 23, just west of the Kroger Super Center. Lewis Center Road is closed at the railroad tracks in order to build a new gosh awful round-a-bout. If you are coming from Westerville or the east side of Delaware County, don't use Lewis Center Road. Use Orange Road / Polaris Parkway, or one of the other east / west streets to get over to S,R, 23. Then head north or south to get to the Kroger Center / OSU Med Center and come in from the east side. Lewis Center Road is closed just east of the High School entrance, which is open, near the tennis courts. Leave a little early, give yourself some extra time. Hopefully wont be too bad.

HEAT - PLEASE BE PREPARED.....This is a summer tournament, so bring lots of water or sports drink and towels with you. We believe the rule of action is to have a gallon of fluids with you on court per match. Parents - that is A GALLON PER MATCH !!! We suggest you buy a gallon jug, or 2, with one for back up, and keep them full of ice and ready to hand to your players during changeovers, at a moments notice. Bring your own towels with you, 2 to 4 or more, when it is hot players can sweat profusely. The tournament does not supply towels, you are responsible.

USTA rules are in effect. ALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO KNOW THE RULES. Language or rules violations may result in disqualification. We will play best of three sets, with advantage (regular) scoring. We will use the match tie break in place of a full third set. When players split the first 2 sets a match tie break will be used in place of a full third set. Players are allowed to take a three minute break between the second and third sets, before the match tie break begins. Match tie break uses the same rules as a set tie break - except the winner is the first player to 10 points, by a 2 point margin.

GENERAL DAILY SCHEDULE
We will begin play each day at 9 AM and hope to be finished daily by 5 to 6 PM. We will begin the tournament on Monday morning and attempt to finish the tournament in four days, five at the most. We hope to be done by Thursday, but definitely will be completed by early afternoon on Friday. Many of our players need to leave and get on the road for the MIDWEST CLOSED tournaments in Indy and Michigan. Weather is the most difficult factor to predict and overcome, so we allow lots of leeway in order to get all the matches completed.

** PLAYER EQUIPMENT, GEAR, RESPONSIBILITIES, FLUIDS **
***** Each player is responsible for their own equipment and gear ***** Every player should have a minimum of 2 rackets, with at least one newly strung racket as a back up. You are responsible for your own gear: wraps, grips, string, first aid kits, Band Aids, extra tee shirts, blister pads, etc. The tournament does not stock anything that players should have with them, and has none to provide to you. ***** GATORADE, WATER, WATER, FLUIDS, FLUIDS, GATORADE *****
