Boys and Girls 10;
Boys and Girls 12, 14, 16, 18 singles. There is a First Match Loser Consolation
match for the 12, 14, 16, 18.
10s will play a Round Robin or Compass format on a 60 foot court
with orange balls. Participation and match wins for 10s will be included in the USTA Florida Youth Progression Pathway.
FORMAT OF PLAY
10 and Under Orange ball: 2 out
of 3 (1st to 4 games) Sets using No-Ad scoring. At one set all, the 3rd
set is a Match Tiebreak with the first to win 7 points. Scoring format may be modified based on the number of entrants in the division.
12s, 14s, 16s, 18s: Best of 3
tiebreak sets and a 10 point Match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set
at one set all. The first player to win 10 points by 2 points wins the
match. Three minutes rest period between
2nd set and Match tiebreak. During the rest period coaching is allowed, but
players cannot leave the court except for a bathroom request which is to be
taken after coaching is completed.
DRAWS AND FIRST MATCH TIMES will be available no later than Friday at 9 am on Aug 23. Click on the Draws tab.
All 10s are asked to check in by 8:00 am.
MAXIMUM MATCHES PER DAY - Two (2) for BG 12,14,16, 18; 10U may play more matches because of modified scoring.
If the format of play is changed
by the head referee and the tournament director, the maximum matches played per
day can change.
REST PERIOD BETWEEN MATCHES for BG 12,14,16,18 - at least 2 hours (Oct - April) unless both players agree to play earlier
AWARDS - 1st and 2nd place in main draw and consolation
