Notes
Wilson Nights are fun and competitive non-elimination match play
events for green, and yellow ball juniors usually not yet 15 years
old. (but if you are not ranked and 15 years old and you really
want to play, email sally10s@me.com and you're in!). Many of the
best junior tennis players in the Metroplex began their competitive
career by falling in love with the sport while attending Wilson
Nights.
Wilson Nights are typically on Friday evenings from 6:15 PM-10:15
PM. There are a few Saturday Wilson Nights each year and those run
from 5:30-10:00 PM.
Beginner through Champ qualified players will love the
non-elimination format--and we'll make sure you play other players
at your level. Please note that no Super Champs are eligible to
participate.
Remember, the first 36 players for each event are "in" and we'll
keep a waiting list for overflow players, so get signed up right
away--you can register online at usta.com (a usta number or free
usta account number is required for online registration) or you can
register by emailing Sally Frame at sally10s@me.com.
All matches will be played at Lakes Tennis Academy, 4000 Legacy
Drive, Frisco 75034 (972) 668-5253.
We're going to try to have everyone play at 2-3 sets of singles,
and a set or two of doubles. Don't worry about signing up with a
doubles partner--most players will find a partner during the event.
The $35 entry fee includes singles, doubles, snacks and drinks.
It's a good idea to bring a water jug. We'll end the evening with a
Grand Prize drawing at 10:00 PM.
PS--although everyone will sign up in an "event" like B12 singles,
we are going to pair players up for matches based on their skill
level. So--12's may play 14's, boys and girls may play each other,
etc. Ditto for ball color--if you sign up for green ball and would
like to play yellow ball, no problem.
And--you do not need to be a USTA member to play this event. If you
don't have a USTA membership you can get a FREE USTA account and
use that number to register online.
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to USTA Members, USTA Members who have an expired membership and Non-USTA Members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, November 30, 2018 11:59:00 PM Central Time.
