TOURNAMENT NOTES (PLEASE READ)
PLEASE CHECK THE DATE AND TIME YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO PLAY AND ARRIVE 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR FIRST SCHEDULED MATCH WITH YOUR COMPLETED MEDICAL RELEASE FORM (see below). Players should check this website for additional information throughout the tournament for updates and REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING: 1. Check in at the Tournament Desk (PLAYERS ONLY) at least 30 MINUTES before your FIRST scheduled match. 2. Bring your completed and signed Medical Release form (see link below). 3. We will attempt to get matches out early, so make sure you warm up ahead of time. 4. Bring plenty of water and HYDRATE before, during and after your match. 5. After your match (win or lose) check the draws for your NEXT MATCH TIME!!! 6. Draws will be posted Thursday, August 15th by 5:00 pm. 7. ALL WITHDRAWALS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING to the Tournament Referee (khmabry@hotmail.com) and written verification provided. Withdrawals that are not for a bonafide reason may be subject to suspension points.

Doubles Partner Request and Late Entries
If you are entering both singles and doubles be sure you are in the same age division. If you have entered doubles and need to be matched with a partner please email the tournament director at wcarlisle@roswellgov.com before 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 14th. Singles late entries will end at the same time as long as entrants do not affect seedings. Depending on the size of the draws, doubles will begin on Friday evening and singles will begin on Saturday.

Welcome!
This is an intermediate-level tournament sanctioned by USTA
Georgia as a Level 4 (Southern Level 5 points). Registration must be completed
online. In the future, you can jump straight to this tournament by entering the
tournament identification number: 700011519 from the
searchable schedule homepage. All Champions, Finalists, 3rd, and 4th place competitors will receive Roswell Racquet SCORCHER Medals! All Champions will have the right to sign the Roswell Tournament Champion Giant Tennis Ball!
Matches may begin as early at 5:00pm on Friday! If you need to contact the tournament director please call the office number or email the week(s) prior to the tournament. During the tournament, the director will be on-site and will have limited access to emails. If you have important information to relay please call or text the directors cell phone during this time.
Boys and Girls registered for 12 and under division will play on a full court with yellow balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for green balls in Youth
Progression will play on a full court with green dot balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for orange balls or new to Youth Progression will
play on a 60’ court with orange balls.
USTA Georgia tournaments do not offer Orange Level 2
divisions. All players that register for Orange 2 will be automatically moved
to Orange 1 before the draws are posted.

to activate their USTA number in the Youth Progression program. For more

New for 2019
USTA Georgia is publishing two separate standing lists for
10 and under players: Orange Ball standings and Green Ball standings. Players will receive same level points
for this tournament but will be listed in separate standing lists according to
their ball color (green ball players no longer
receive level 3 points on a level 4 or 5 tournament).
Player selection
This tournament is open for junior players regardless of ranking.
You will receive an automated email if your player is selected and your credit
card is charged. Southern and then
Georgia rankings will be used for seeding.
Late Entrants
USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into
all USTA GA tournaments in the event that the draw is not full, provided that
such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late
entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any
circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament
Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration.
Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late
entries.
Draws
Draws will be published by Thursday at 5 pm. It is your
responsibility to check this tournament webpage for the players’ draws, match
times, and any other updates. Please always check the tournament website before leaving your residence for any information on rain delays.(Remember it could be sunny at home but raining on the courts!)
Format SINGLES: FIC through
Quarterfinals. 3rd & 4th place playoffs. Some consolations may not finish.
Trophies to winners & runner-up in main draw and consolation. Scoring
format for BG12-18: 2 sets with 3rd set match tie-break. Singles scoring format
for BG10s will be 2 out of 3 short sets, No-ad scoring (sets to 4 games) with a 7-point
tie-break for the 3rd set (both Main and Consolation draws). DOUBLES: BG10s - 6-game set, No-ad scoring, tiebreak at 6-all. BG12-18 - 8-game pro-set, No-ad scoring, tiebreak at 8-all.
FORMAT for 8 and
UNDER- This tournament will also hold 36' Format for 8 and under. The 8U
divisions are geared to players with limited or no previous tennis experience.
The 8Uplayers cannot play in the 10U singles divisions and the 36’ Format for 8U
singles divisions in the same tournament (an 8U player can only play in one
singles division in a tournament).
Results for the 8U
tournaments will be included in the USTA GA Standings using the Points Per Round
Co-Ed 8 Table. Scoring for 8U events will be 2 out of three 7 point games. Only
results played in this format will count for this list.
Withdrawals and Refund Policy
Our refund policy
for Roswell tournaments is as follows. For withdrawals with less than seven
days prior to the start of play - no refund unless there is compelling reason
for the withdrawal (illness, injury, emergency). If there is a compelling
reason then we will consider each case to determine what credit may be issued.
Credit will usually be in the form of a partial credit for entry into a future
Roswell tournament.
