Monday 7-22-19 @ 9:38am. All finals matches have been postponed
to WEDNESDAY 7-24-19 @ 4:30pm due to the forecast of rain for this
afternoon and all day Tuesday.
Sunday 7-21-19 @ 6:50pm
All finals are scheduled for Monday afternoon. All finals matches
will be regular scoring and regular rest periods. There is a chance
of rain and I will be monitoring the possible rain implications
through the day tomorrow and will post any changes to the
event.
Saturday 7-20-19 @ 3:30pm. Match play format for the remainder of
the day has been altered to NO-AD scoring. This is in accordance
with USTA REGULATIONS III.G.1
Friday 7-19-19 @ 7:38am. These events will proceed as currently
scheduled despite the extreme temperatures expected this weekend.
USTA heat policies will be in effect and explained to all players
prior to play. Additional set break time as well as between matches
break periods will be afforded. Please be vigilant in staying
hydrated.
*****Draws will be posted by 9am this morning (Thursday). We have
100 players coming this weekend. Please make sure you show up ready
to play for your start time.******

Come out and play the Thoreau Junior Masters Series events to
qualify to play alongside some of the best tennis players in the
world!
The Thoreau Club in Concord MA is excited to announce this series
of 5 summer tournaments for our local juniors. All match play
during the USTA sanctioned Thoreau Junior Masters Series events
will earn you points in order to qualify for the Thoreau Junior
Tennis Open, which will be held simultaneously with the $60K ITF
sanctioned Thoreau Open, August 12-17, 2019.
The 8 players to win the most points in each age group will receive
an invitational entry into the Thoreau Junior Tennis Open held on
August 12-17, 2019.

The Thoreau Junior Tennis Open Champions will receive a $500 Tim
Mayotte Tennis Academy voucher redeemable for Academy participation
and/or Academy apparel
Finalists will receive a $150 Tim Mayotte Tennis Academy voucher
redeemable for Academy apparel
* Non-transferable to other players or Academy programs. * Not
redeemable for cash value. * Voucher recipient must begin training
at the Academy by October 1st, 2019. * Expires December 31st,
2019.
The Thoreau Junior Masters Series tiebreak procedures.
If at the end of the Thoreau Junior Masters Series (final
tournament held during the weekend of 8/2/19), two or more players
are tied with points the following tiebreak procedures will be
enacted to break said tie.
1. Participation. The player or players that have participated in
the most number of Junior Master Series events.
2. Head to Head results. If two or more players are tied after
tiebreak procedure 1, their head to head results (if any exist)
will be applied.
3. Sets won/lost. If after tie breaking procedures 1 and 2 are
applied and there is still a tie, players sets won/lost will be
calculated with the player who lost the fewest sets
advancing.
4. Games won/lost. If after tie breaking procedures 1, 2, and 3 are
applied and there is still a tie, players games won/lost will be
calculated with the player who lost the fewest games
advancing.
