Please register for Match Tennis App. We will be using Match Tennis App during our tournament for the following:

1. Important Tournament Notifications- you must register to receive automatic email messages for (rain delays, schedule changes, draw changes etc.) instead of having to check the website over and over.
2. “Doubles Pairing” – Privatized Service (Find a doubles partner for our tournament. Register, add your name to the list, and connect with others looking)
3. “Find a Warm-Up Partner” Privatized Service (Find a partner to warm-up with before your matches. Register, Add your name to the list, and connect with others looking)

If you need a doubles partner please use The Match Tennis App Free Doubles Pairing Service. Please click the link below to register, add your name to the doubles request list, and communicate privately with others who are also looking for a doubles partner. This service is privatized through Match Tennis App, so you do NOT have to share any personal contact info with others unless you choose to do so!

We will start Doubles on Friday night at 5:00 pm. Singles will start on Saturday. You can check in for our tournament on Friday, July19th after 1:00 pm. We will have pizza here on site for Friday night.

Doubles will be a 32 SE Draw. 6 game set with ad scoring. There will be a 3/4 playoff for Doubles. Please email Chaney at cmills24@msn.com with your name & your partner's name. The deadline to send doubles pairings and to sign up is Wednesday, July 17th at noon CST.

We encourage you to please stay at this hotel. Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Pelham is our Host Hotel for all of our events. They are a great supporter of Pelham and hope you will support them too!

Pizza for Dinner on Friday night. Lunch provided to players on Saturday, non players are $5.

We will have a trainer on site Saturday, Sunday & Monday starting at 7:30 am.

We will have a stringer on site during the event. Please get your racquets turned in as soon as possible as we will take them in the order we receive them.

Dunlop Grand Prix Regular Felt.

Best 2 out 3 sets. All playoffs and consolation scoring formats will be 2 out 3 sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of the third set.

Curtis Consolation Draw. 1st and 2nd round losers will go into Consolation #1. Losers of the round of 16 and quarterfinals will feed into Consolation #2. If draws are 32 or less, a full feed in, through the round of 16 will be played, with a quarter final playoff. There will also be a semi final playoff. There will not be a 7/8 playoff. Southern is using this format to maximize play in a 3 day event.

Seeding will follow the USTA Southern Section seeding regulations and will be provided by Southern with the selection list.

On Site Alternates must register at their age group's tournament site. You can inform the Tournament Referee on Friday afternoon that you plan to be an On Site Alternate. Please make sure we have accurate contact information so you can be reached quickly. On Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on site when their age and gender check in for play 30 minutes prior to the first match on Saturday morning.

The alternate list will be updated daily. It's listed above under "Alternate by Event". If you are entering another tournament, please email Chaney at cmills24@msn.com.

Players signing up for a Southern tournament as a late entry, will be charged an additional $25. If the draws are not full, please call 205-621-3380 to sign up. After the draw is made and posted, late entries can only be taken if the player is NOT ranked higher than the last seed. Late entries must not affect seeding. Please withdraw online before the deadline to avoid being charged. Any withdrawals after the deadline, will not be refunded.

Please email cmills24@msn.com and request a medical & photo release waiver. Or you can pick one up on site when you arrive. Every player must have a waiver before they can play their first match.

All players must have a birth certificate or green card on file with the USTA Southern Office for proof of citizenship. You must do one of the following before you can begin play in the tournament.

You must play the same age division for singles & doubles.

Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Level 1A,2 and 3 tournaments with these guidelines. 1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. 2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. 3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. 4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made without approval from the USTA Southern Office.

If you do not hear back within a timely manner, please reach out by email or phone. This could mean we do not have your email. Please get your doubles information emailed in early, this helps us so much!!! Please continue to check back, we may update something or post new information.

Before the tournament please call 205-621-3380 to see what is available. During the tournament, you can used the 5 hard courts on site. There will be a sign up sheet in the lobby for 4 players to a courts in 30 minute increments. You can also go to Pelham Tennis Center that has 9 hard courts. They are located at 315 Ball Park Road Pelham, AL 35124. The clubhouse is not always open, but there will be a note on the door. You can use these on a first come basis.
