Welcome to Dolores Park!
We are thrilled to announce that during the renovation of the Golden Gate Park Tennis Complex, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department's 118th Annual San Francisco City Open and NTRP Championships will be held at the iconic Dolores Park, in the heart of the City. Dolores Park has six courts and is surrounded by beautiful scenery, restaurants, shops, cafes, and plenty of public transportation. Come play in one of the longest standing tournaments on the West Coast and be a part of history!

Tournament Site and Location
The tournament will be held at Dolores Park in the Mission District on the corner of Dolores St &19th St, San Francisco, CA 94114. Parking is tight in this neighborhood, there is also going to be a performance by the San Francisco Mime Troupe that Sunday and Monday afternoon so even more people are expected at Dolores Park. Public transportation is encouraged, or parking in a nearby neighborhood garage and taking an Uber/Lyft to Dolores Park. The Muni Metro J-Church Line runs along its western edge.

Parking
Public transportation is the best way to get to Dolores Park. Street parking is extremely difficult and only available in 2-hour increments (you have to move your car to a different block every two hours). 16th/Mission BART is the closest BART station, about a 5-block walk or short Uber/Lyft ride MUNI J-Church drops off on the corner of the park. If you do drive, some Mission District parking garage options are listed below. We do not have any special arrangements made with the garages, availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

All NTRP Players Must Have an NTRP Rating
All players participating in a USTA NorCal sanctioned NTRP tournament must have an NTRP rating. If you do not have an NTRP rating, please click "more info" to obtain a self-rating.

Limited Draws
Due to limited number of courts (6), please note that draws may be limited.

Singles and Doubles
Players are permitted to play both singles and doubles but cannot play in multiple divisions. For example, if you are playing 4.0 singles and want to play doubles, you need to play 4.0 doubles as well.

Match Format
Please note this is a Single Elimination draw. NTRP and Open Singles -- best two out of three sets, regular scoring, with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a full third set NTRP and Open Doubles -- Depending on the number of entries, doubles will either be one 8-game pro set or best two out of three sets, regular scoring, with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a full third set
Awards will be given to the Champion and Finalist in each division.

Check In Procedure
Please check-in at the Tournament Desk 15-minutes prior to your match start time if possible but not later than the start time posted. Game and match penalties may be given per USTA regulations if you check in after the posted start time of your match. Please call or text the Tournament Director or Tournament Referee if you are going to be late and provide reason why.

Withdrawing From Tournament
In the event you need to withdraw from the tournament, please text or email the Tournament Director and Tournament Referee as soon as possible. Please let us know the division you are playing and the reason for withdrawal. Contact information listed on Tournament Home Page.

Checking the Draws for Match Start Times
All draws are subject to change due to various reasons so please continue to check and recheck the draws for match start time adjustments and potential withdrawals leading up to the tournament. All changes to the draw made within 24 hours of the tournament will be communicated with each participant via phone and/or email contact listed in TennisLink. Please register for the tournament with all necessary contact information included in case of such scenarios.

Changes to Match Start Time
In the event of a change in match start time within 24-hours of the originally scheduled time, the Tournament Director or Tournament Referee will contact you either by phone or email using the contact information listed in TennisLink. Changes made outside of 24-hours will be updated on the draws online, but players will not be contacted. Please make sure you check the draws online before leaving for the tournament just to be safe.

Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission. If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race and the concurrent tournaments will not count toward the minimum tournament requirement to qualify for Grand Prix.

Practice Courts
We are unable to provide practice courts at Dolores Park as all courts will be used for the tournament.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, August 25, 2019 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
