Tournament starts with Doubles on Friday at 8AM -
We have a busy day on Friday so the tournament will start promptly with doubles at 8AM. Registration will start at 6:45AM on Friday. Please be there a half hour before your start time. Plan your trip and flight accordingly as soon as you know that you are accepted into the main draw.

Airports - Boston Logan Airport - Manchester New Hampshire as a alternative
Boston Logan Airport is the closest to the club, about 45 minutes away. Manchester New Hampshire is the next closest to us but is about half hour further than Logan. It is however a alternative and I believe Southwest flies a lot out of Manchester, New Hampshire.

Thursday, Thanksgiving practice courts
The Club will be open to players for practicing purpose on Thanksgiving day from 9:30AM until 4:00pm. To reserve a practice slot, please email me in November at cwatson@macathletics.com

Monday Match Schedule
On Monday we play the following matches, Round of 64 and 32 Consolations Semi Finals, Round of 16 Semi Finals, Main draw Finals and #3 and #4, Both consolations finals and Doubles Finals and #3,4. We typically finish in early afternoon.

Match Format
The match format for the singles is best out of three sets with a 7 point tiebreak for the first and second set at 6-6 and a 10 point tiebreak in lieu of the third set. Doubles format is a 8 game pro set with No Ad Scoring.

Consolation is mandatory . Please make sure you understand the rules.
Consolation is mandatory. Any withdrawal during the tournament including consolations must be validated by a doctor's note. Withdrawal without doctor's note will result in violations per USTA official rules.

Alternate list and method of replacing a withdrawing player
The alternate list will be posted on the website according to Mational standings. A player withdrawing from the main draw will be replaced in the following fashion. If the player was one of the 33 standing list player, with the first alternate. If a player was chosen from the 24 sectional players with a alternate from their section as long as the draw has not been posted yet. As soon as the draw is posted, a withdrawing player will be replaced by the next alternate.

I will be glad to facilitate partnerships if necessary. Please do so after the selection process has been completed.

Thanksgiving Restaurants
Many local restaurants are closed during Thanksgiving day. Here below is
a updated list of restaurant that are open during Thanksgiving and are located
close to the hotels.
Legal Seafood (famous seafood restaurant) is located in the North Shore Mall,
close to all of the hotels and is open during Thanksgiving. They have great
seafood and other dishes, a little pricey. If you would like to enjoy a nice

Officials ratio during the tournament
We will have USTA certified officials during the entire tournament. We will have a ratio of one official for every four courts or less. We will also have chaired matches for finals and other matches. More information on chaired matches will be posted soon.

Dress Code
All players are required to wear appropriate tennis
attire and dress in a manner consistent with being a participant a USTA Junior
National Championship. Compression shorts, sports bras, shirts with
inappropriate language, attire that is inappropriately revealing, shoes not
designed for tennis, and any attire that is recreational and not
tennis-oriented is not acceptable. Players not meeting the dress code may be
asked to change prior to going on the court.

Multiple Singles Entry policies
Multiple Singles Entries Allowed in Concurrent USTA National
Championships. A player may be entered in up to two age
divisions of USTA National Championships when entries close. The TennisLink system will select players for
these divisions in the following order:
18s, 16s, 14s, and 12s. If a
player is entered in two age divisions and is
selected into the older division, that player shall not be eligible for
selection into the younger division. If
a player is not selected for the
older division, that player is eligible for selection in the younger division
and is eligible to be an alternate in the younger division, but not the older
division.
Additionally, a player may not enter one division in
singles and a different division in doubles at sites where two divisions are
held.
Permission to Enter Other Concurrent
Tournaments. When tournaments
are asked to give prior written approval to enter a USTA National Championship
and a concurrent tournament that is not a USTA National Championship, that
discretion lies with the tournament

Wild card information
Applications. Requests for
Wild Cards are submitted by players using an online application. A link to the application is published on the
USTA website and shall be published by the tournament to its website: http://www.usta.com/Youth-Tennis/Junior-Competition/NtlChampWildCards/
Wild
Card applicants do not require Sectional Endorsement, but the application must
be approved by the Sectional office.
Note: Applications MUST be filed separately for each National
Championship and received by the appropriate deadline (see below).
Deadlines. Applications
must be received no later than five days after the entry deadline for the
tournament for which the Wild Card is sought.
Earlier application is strongly encouraged. Wildcard deadline is next Tuesday November 5th 11:59pm.
Criteria. Written
criteria for awarding Wild Cards is published in Table 4 of the USTA Junior
National Tournament, Ranking, and Sanctioning Regulations. The criteria is as follows:
• No player that
is under suspension by the USTA, a Sectional Association, the ITF, the ITA, the
WTA, or the ATP may be awarded a wild card.
• No player who
has a national standing below the standing of the first alternate may be
awarded a wild card unless, in the
opinion of the Wild Card Committee, the player will improve the overall
strength of field of the tournament.
• No player who
submits a late wild card application may be considered. Timely entries into the
tournament are recommended, but are not required.
• A player with an
established record in international, professional, or collegiate competition
may be considered.
• A player whose
ability to qualify has been affected by injury, illness, or other personal
circumstance may be considered.
• A player’s
rating may be considered.
• A player with a
high standing in a younger age division of the event may be considered.
• A player with a
high standing in the division of the event who was not endorsed by their
Sectional Association may be considered, provided
that the player has been recommended for a wild card by their Sectional
Association.
• A player who has
been recommended for a wild card by the USTA National Coaching Staff may be
considered.
• USTA Player Development may hold
invitational wild card playoff competitions for players identified jointly by
NJTLs and USTA Player Development to which the best finishers shall be awarded
wild cards into the Boys’ and Girls’ 14 and 12 Divisions of the USTA National
Clay Court Championships and The USTA National Championships. A total of 4 wild cards will be available for
this purpose in the Boys’ and Girls’ 12 Divisions. A total of 2 wild cards will be available for
this purpose in the Boys’ and Girls’ 14 Divisions.
• USTA Player
Development may hold an invitational wild card playoff competition to which the
winner shall be awarded a wild card, provided that the Junior Competition
Committee has approved the competition in advance.
Awarding of
Wild Cards. The Wild Card Committee will meet as soon as
is practicable after the wild card deadline to select from among the Wild Card
applicants. The USTA Junior Competition
Department will coordinate distribution of applications and the meeting
time. As soon as Wild Card players are
selected, they are notified by the USTA Junior Competition Department. Once given approval by the USTA Junior
Competition Department, the Tournament Director should also attempt to make
contact with the player to receive the entry fee and gather additional
information that is required.

Concurrent Entry Into Eddie Herr ITF and National Indoor Championships
The Eddie Herr ITF and the National
Indoor Championships have overlapping dates, which makes them concurrent events. Players are
permitted to register for both events (permission from both Tournament
Directors is not required), but players may NOT participate in both events.Players who registered for and are
selected for both tournaments (qualifying or main draw) must notify the
Tournament Committees of which tournament they would like to participate in
by November 15th. Players who withdraw from one event to
participate in the other after the date of November 15th , or who apply for and
receive wildcards for one of the events and then subsequently withdraw from the
other will be assessed suspension points for withdrawing to play in another
tournament. Players may not participate in both events.

Wilson is the official ball of the tournament Wilson open balls, regular duty will be used for this tournament
Wilson is nice enough to provide us with match balls. Wilson US Open regular duty balls will be used during the entire tournament

Players are selected from a variety of National Lists and generally require Section endorsement.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 31, 2019 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
