SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD WINNERS
Good sportsmanship is a key component of any competitive event. We expect at this level the players and parents are setting the tone for exemplary sportsmanship. In recognition of GOOD sportsmanship we will award USTA NorCal Sportsmanship tags daily throughout the tournament. Nomination forms will be available at the tournament desk and we encourage ALL to participate in nominating good sportsmanship. From the daily winners the Tournament Committee will award one overall sportsmanship award winner to one female and one male at the conclusion of the event. Those overall winners will be given a special tournament sweatshirt in recognition of their exemplary sportsmanship throughout the entire event.
On the flip side, poor sportsmanship from players and fans alike will be under the USTA Zero Tolerance Policy which will be strictly enforced by our officiating crew. We strongly prefer to reward good behavior versus issuing penalties so please be on time and play fair.
If you did not received your sportsmanship bag tag from me at the tournament desk, please ask me for it at the desk. If you are not returning to the tournament site you can send me an email with your mailing address and I will mail it to you. Thanks again for your positive sportsmanship and attitude! Chrys Atkinson, Tournament Director (chrysa@sparetimesportsclubs.com).
