In appreciation of good sportsmanship displayed during the tournament, we will recognize recipients on the tournament homepage and with a Sportsmanship Bag Tag from USTA NorCal. Good Sportsmanship is extremely important to this Tournament Committee and good behavior will be rewarded while poor behavior will be subject to the Point Penalty System. We'd much rather reward good behavior.

NOTE: If you are awarded a daily sportsmanship tag you are in the running for the overall Sportsmanship Award Winner and a free tournament sweatshirt! Nominations forms are at the tournament desk if you want to provide information on good sportsmanship you witness.

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE REGISTERING! When you register, be sure to provide your email address and cell phone number during the registration process. We do not have access to phone numbers and email addresses of the tournament participants UNLESS the player re-enters their contact information at the time of the event registration.

The Sectional Championships offer the highest tier of competition for the advanced player in the 12, 14, 16, and 18 divisions. Each event is designated as a Level 3 National Ranking Tournament.

DID YOU KNOW? The singles Champion of our B18 Section tournament gets directly into The USTA National Championships (Hard Courts). NOTE: "The June Sectionals Champion gains automatic acceptance as part of the national selection process for the Hard Courts if the player remains age eligible and enters."

TOURNAMENT COMMUNICATION will be handled through email to the Tournament Director Mrs. Chrys Atkinson (chrysa@sparetimesportsclub.com) and/or Tournament Referee Ms. Carol Kim (ckim410s@gmail.com). We both are able to respond quicker to emails than phone calls. The TD will respond to emails from the tournament site during the tournament as well.

DRAW SIZE• Singles Main Draw Size: 64 singles players compete in the main draw. NO QUALIFIER draw.
• Doubles Draw Size: 32 doubles teams - all main draw singles players are eligible to play doubles first. If the draw is not full, then alternates may elect to play doubles only.

DRAW FORMATS
• Singles Draw Format: FIC through R16 with playoff for 3rd & 4th place, and a playoff of quarterfinal round losers for 5th & 6th place
• Doubles Draw Format: Single Elimination playoff for 3rd & 4th place

MATCH & SCORING FORMATS
Regular scoring will be used.
• Main Draw Singles (including 3rd/4th place playoff and singles main draw matches): best of 3 tiebreak sets
• Consolation Singles (including playoff matches for 5th/6th place and singles consolation matches): best of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set
• Doubles: 8-game pro set through the quarterfinals; best of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set for semifinals, finals and playoff for 3rd and 4th place.
