Due to the size of the draw, we are able to push the girls back to a Sunday start.
THE CONSOLATION CANNOT START UNTIL MONDAY SO WE HAVE TO KEEP THE MAIN DRAW IN LINE WITH THE CONSOLATION SO THEY FLOW TOGETHER AND NOT HAVE ONE GET AHEAD OF THE OTHER.

We have had several questions regarding the flooding in Arkansas.
We are fortunate that all the playing sites and the hotels will not be affected by the flooding here in the state.

We are very excited to have the Little Rock Open, a men's ATP Challenger event, going on at Rebsamen Tennis Center the week before the Southern 16's.

The quarterfinals, semis, and finals will be on Friday-Sunday, June 7-9. You will all be checking in and playing those days.

Let's see who's the best of the best in a little game of ping pong! All tennis players think they're great at ping pong so who's going to show us how it's done?!
We will have a tournament in the player tent during the player party on Sunday night. Party starts at 6:00. First 128 kids (boys and girls together) get to play for the title! Don't forget to sign in at the Friday night check-in or on Saturday at the tournament desk.

GROUP LIMIT IS 8 PEOPLE. ALL GROUP DRILLS WILL BE HELD AT REBSAMEN TENNIS CENTER. COST FOR FRIDAY DRILL IS $20. YOU WILL NEED TO CALL RAUL BERMUDEZ AT 501-766-1119.
THERE WILL ALSO BE AN EARLY MORNING DRILL SESSION ON SATURDAY MORNING FROM 6:30 - 7:30 AM AT REBSAMEN. AGAIN, CALL RAUL TO SIGN UP. COST FOR THE SATURDAY MORNING SESSION IS $10.

IF YOU NEED AN INDIVIDUAL WARM-UP, PLEASE CALL RAUL BERMUDEZ AT 501-766-1119. HE WILL GET YOU SIGNED UP WITH EITHER HIMSELF OR ONE OF HIS ASSISTANTS. INDIVIDUAL WARM-UP COST IS $25 PER HALF HOUR. RAUL WILL LET YOU KNOW WHERE THE WARM-UP WILL BE. IT WILL DEPEND ON YOUR REQUESTED TIME.

ALL STRINGING WILL BE DONE AT REBSAMEN TENNIS CENTER. WE WILL HAVE AT LEAST 2 STRINGERS AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES AT REBSAMEN FROM FRIDAY THROUGH MOST OF THE WEEK.

Singles: Boys' and Girls' singles 192 (Changed in 2016) draw with Feed-in championship through quarterfinals and playoff matches for 3/4 places.
Play in the FIC is mandatory. Semifinal losers in the main draw are required to play the 3/4 playoff match.
The Singles official draw will be made Wednesday, June 5. The draw will be posted online after noon, Thursday, June 6.
Doubles: Boys' and Girls' doubles will be single elimination with a 3/4 playoff.
NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE DRAW WILL BE GIVEN BY PHONE.

All applicants NOT admitted to the main draw shall be listed in order, to be moved into the main draw if/when spaces become available.
* The order will be based on Southern Standings.
* To find out the order go to the Alternates lists in the Reports Section at the top of the Important Info page. Alternate lists will be posted as soon as possible and updated often thereafter.
* If you are an alternate from your state and are NOT admitted on June 5 or thereafter, you may do any or all of the following:
1) Stand by as an on-site alternate on Saturday, June 8 for all first round matches
2) Stand by as an on-site alternate on Sunday, June 9 for the second round matches that involve players that received a bye in the first round
*** If you are an alternate, please make sure the tournament has accurate contact information so that you may be contacted when needed.

The following heat policy will be implemented:
When players are scheduled to play 2 singles matches in one day, they will be offered a rest period equal to the length of their first match (up to 3 hours). They will be offered a minimum of 2 hours rest regardless of first match length. This rest period guideline does not apply to doubles.

In matches playing a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set there will be a 3-minute coaching break between the end of the second set and the match-deciding tiebreak. This 3-minute break is treated the same as the 2-minute set break between first and second sets, except that players may receive coaching on the court. Players may not leave the court. unless requesting a toilet break. The toilet break will be taken after the 3-minute coaching break. No coaching is allowed during the toilet break for either player.

*On-site alternates must arrive at the site where your division is being played prior to matches being played for which you want to be considered.
*You must sign the ordered alternate sheet and remain at that site.
*If a vacancy occurs, the highest ranked "signed-in" alternate will be admitted.
* Once the on-site alternate is paged, he/she will have 4 minutes to report.
* If he/she takes longer than 4 minutes to report, he/she will be bypassed until a subsequent vacancy occurs.

Players may not use electronic devises on court that are designed for communication (cell phones, etc.) or data storage/display (pocket notebook, rolodex, word processor, etc.). Use of these devices will result in immediate code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct. (A device that is in the "ON" mode constitutes use.) Notes and printed materials brought on court for reference with a player are permitted.

We will be using the Wilson US Open ball for all matches.
