3/18/19 PARKING: If the CTP main parking lot is full all players and parents should plan to park either:
1) In the CTP North parking lot or
2) Across the street from the Cary Tennis Park in the non-numbered parking spaces located at the Green Hope Elementary school lot

Playsight video recording must be purchased at a cost of $30.00 prior to the start of the match.

You can check in at your site this morning and not come to CTP before first match

All registration for the tournament will be on the covered courts. Checking in for your match will be at the tournament desk on the deck of main building.

New doubles match times are posted for Saturday. Please confirm your new time and check the site. Girls 12 round 1 doubles will play at TING PARK.

All doubles matches are cancelled for tonight due to rain and unplayable covered courts. Please check the website by 8pm tonight for updated match times. Pizza party still planned for 5:30pm

March 3rd at 11:59pm or before-->Withdraw online. March 4 or later-->email your withdrawal to jake.lester@townofcary.org. Do not call. NO REFUNDS will be given after the entry deadline. Defaulting during the tournament - You must see the trainer and get approval from the Referee. Do not tell anyone at the desk and think you have properly defaulted, unless you speak to the Referee, it will be counted as a "NO SHOW".

Due to the possibility of inclement weather for Friday March 15th the NC State vs UVA mens tennis match has been moved to NC State University at 5pm.

If you are currently on the singles alternate list for the tournament and are planning to play "doubles only" there is a entry fee of $25.00 and you must let us know as soon as you can. please send all emails to jake.lester@townofcary.org

Both singles and doubles entries have been processed but please note the following for doubles: If you or your partner did not both register and designate each other as partners, you might not be entered into the event yet. If you or your partner did not make it into the singles draw, you may not have been put into doubles. However, you can still enter doubles by emailing both your USTA # and your partner's USTA #.

We are excited to announce that NC State will playing against the University of Virginia Friday evening at 5pm at the Cary Tennis Park. Will be some great ACC tennis so come out and watch!!!

The Tennis Park has 13 courts with Playsight Live Streaming Cameras which will be streaming during the tournament. People may view the courts on a desktop by visiting Playsight.com and selecting the tab “Live and on Demand” then searching “Town of Cary”. From there you would then select the “Town of Cary” and then choose the court you wish to view. Playsight also has an app for viewing from a tablet or mobile device. You must download the app and set up a free Playsight account.

Players may purchase a video recording of matches played on the live streamed courts at $30 per match. To purchase a match, you must first download the Playsight app and set up a free Playsight account. Then follow these steps to purchase and record a match.
1. Determine if the player is assigned to a Live Streamed Court (Courts 1-12 and Stadium)
2. Go to the front desk of the Cary Tennis Park and purchase access to the QR code assigned to that court.
3. Once you purchase the access, you will be given your receipt and a Playsight Card to deliver to the Tournament Desk.
4. The Tournament Desk will confirm the PlaySight court which court the player is assigned, take your Playsight Card, and will present the QR code for the assigned court to be scanned through the app.
5. Once the QR Code is scanned you will be able to join the session of that particular court. Please do not leave the session in the app, as it will terminate your recorded.
6. Once the match is completed and you leave the session, the recording will be downloaded onto your Playsight account through the app for viewing. It will show up under the activities tab. (This may take 5-10 minutes)

You may use personal recording devices to record a player’s match. If the opponent requests that their player not be recorded, you must either remove the device or only record your player’s side of the court.

The USTA Southern Section requires a signed release covering all entrants in USTA Southern Section events. The release must be signed by the entrant and parent or guardian of any entrant who is a minor. more info

Players must play doubles in the same age division that they were selected to play singles in.
Draw will be a 32 single elimination and matches will be a six game pro set with a tie break at 6 all.
Doubles play will begin on Friday at 5pm and may play as many as 3 matches on Friday
The tournament will not partner players together. It is your job to find a partner, confirm the partnership, and then register by the doubles deadline. Each player must register for doubles and select their partner. If only ONE partner registers for play, it will be considered an incomplete entry and will not be accepted.

Draws will be 64 players with a Feed In Consolation thru the round of 16 format. The quarterfinalist losers go into their own backdraw and playoff for 5th and 6th place. There is no playoff for 7th and 8th place. Main Draw 12s will be best two out of three sets playing a 10 point match tie break in lieu of the third set. Main Draw 14s will play the best two out of three tie-break sets. Feed In will be the best of three sets playing a 10 point match tie break in lieu of third set. Main Draw will play two rounds each day. The Feed In draws will play one match on Saturday, two matches on Sunday and two on Monday. In the event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change.

If you are near the top of the alternate list, please double check your contact information on your USTA account for accuracy. It is the only way we have to contact you.

Alternates are welcome provided they do not invalidate the seedings. Check in at the tournament desk for first round matches to see if a main draw player does not show up on time. If more than one alternate is on site when a first round main draw player is not there on time, then an alternate will be chosen based on their ranking order

All players must have a copy of a Birth Certificate or Green Card on file in the Southern office. Players may e-mail BirthCertificates@sta.usta.com with the players’ Name and USTA number to check on Birth Certificate status.

Even though the 16's and 18's are being held in Raleigh under a different tournament code this weekend, it is still part of this tournament. So, you may enter the 14's and 16's without penalty.

There will be a trainers on site at Cary Tennis Park during the tournament. Remember that if you default due to an injury during the tournament, you have to speak directly to the Head Referee. Speaking to anyone else will result in a "Default-No Show" for your match.

All matches will use Dunlop Championship Hard Court Balls

Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1A, 2, and 3 tournaments.
#1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division.
#2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division.
#3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected.
#4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.
