SCTA/ TENNISPOWER Early Development Training/Tournament
Participants can sign up for 2 hrs of Orange Ball training and
development on the week of the designated tournament at the
Peninsula Racquet Club during the hours of 2.30-4.30 Monday,
Wednesday or Friday (with advance Notice) to qualify to participate
in the weekend tournament. No player can participate in the
tournament without attending a 2 hour training session before the
tournament date.
Entry ProcessThe EDC Training/Tournaments are limited to 24
players. Once we receive 24 entries, entries will close.
Notes
USTA Player Early Development Camps(EDC) provide 10u players with
instruction and evaluation from USTA Coaching Staff and section
coaches who have proven coaching success. EDC is one of the
components of USTA's 10u Youth Progression System.
For 2018 the USTA/TennisPower training is a 2 hour training session
offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2.30-4.30 during the
summer (prior class registration and attendance is necessary)
before a player can participate in the tournament. Training
Sessions consists of a specially developed curriculum with a low
player/coach ratio. The Tournament is a sanctioned level 7( orange
dot) event.(Participants are guaranteed a minimum of 2 matches).
Campers will receive youth progression points for the
Training/Tournament as well as additional tournament points for the
Sunday tournament. Tournament winners will be invited to a
Invitational Youth Progression Grand Prix Tournament,November
10(orange dot) at Carson Player Development.
All campers receive a t-shirt and appropriate youth progression
points, and most importantly, an opportunity to grow their game at
a camp specially developed by the USTA for 10u players.

selected.
Entry Type
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must
be submitted by Thursday, June 21, 2018 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time.
Only USTA members can register online if available.
