We are ahead of schedule we have confirmed the times for Tuesday. Please check the draws to confirm your times as we did have a few updates. Please note that all play on Tuesday will take place at Shipyard.

We have just have updated all of the doubles match times and sites. Some sites have changed! A few sites have given us more courts this afternoon than originally planned. The winners will need to plan to play a second doubles match after their rest time.

Withdrawal After Entry Deadline?
Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament. You must email your written withdrawal. DO NOT call to withdraw. The email is katie@vdmtennis.com. Include player name, division, USTA #, and reason for withdrawal. If player is in doubles make sure to contact your partner as well. Please note: There are No refunds after the registration deadline.

This registration will take place at in the Green room at the Van Der Meer Shipyard location (inside Shipyard Plantation) from 4-7 p.m. only. The Green room is located off the patio in front of the indoor courts. You will receive a tournament packet that will include directions to all the sites and practice courts and restaurant discounts.

For those of you that "just can't make it," please follow these instructions: DO NOT CALL! Follow these instructions so you will not be replaced in the draw.

3- Come to the main site on Saturday to register - only the SHIPYARD site will have registration on Saturday morning. You must register before your first match or you will not be guaranteed a player gift. (Players do not have to register, parents or guardians may register them).
3 - Show up 30 minutes before your match time. Please be patient with us when checking in, we will be focused on getting matches on and off the court. Checking in people at this time will be a detriment to the tournament.
4 - On Saturday, beginning at 7:15 AM, we will only have one person checking in players for the tournament (those that did not come the night before). We will only register players at the main site: SHIPYARD. If this causes you to be late for your match, unfortunately that will be your problem that could have been avoided. Therefore, we urge all of you to check-in on Friday this includes Locals, Commuters and Travelers. Thank you for your cooperation.

Withdrawal Prior to Entry Deadline:
Go to the Tournament website and click "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes.

Defaulting during the tournament:
You must see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee. Do not tell just anyone at the desk and think you have properly defaulted. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it will count as a "No Show and will accumulate suspension points. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament OR a visit with the onsite trainer will suffice.

This is a four (4) day tournament - Saturday thru Tuesday. Draw size will be 128 with the Southern Standings List being used for selection and seedings.

USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of tournament registration. The Format of Play for Singles is a 128 Draw, Full Feed-In Consolation through the Quarterfinals and a 3rd/4th Playoff in the Main Draw. . The Scoring for Main Draw Singles is Best 2 of 3 Full Sets. Consolation Draw Singles is Best 2 of 3 Sets, with a 10 pt match Tie Break used in lieu of a full 3rd set, if necessary. The Format of Play for Doubles is a 64 Draw, Single Elimination with a 3rd/4th Playoff. The Scoring for Doubles is an 8-game Pro-Set with No-Ad Scoring. NOTE: ALL PLAYERS IN THE SEMIFINALS OF SINGLES and DOUBLES WILL PLAY AGAIN, EITHER FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP OR THE 3rd/4th POSITION!



*PLEASE NOTE* Players who lose in Main draw of 16 on Sunday afternoon will not play singles Monday. They will feed in and play again Tuesday morning. This is unavoidable using the feed-in, since the consolation will need to play 2 rounds to "catch-up". This is the standard format for all Southern Level 1 events.

Special Instructions for (CENT) Centre court (843-785-1152): If your designated site is Centre Court you don’t need a car pass-- just inform the guard at the South Gate inside Palmetto Dunes that you have a match at Centre Court. Proceed through the gate and take first right on Carnoustie. Three driveways on the right is the parking lot to Centre Court. DO NOT PARK on side of street or grassy areas in Palmetto Dunes Resort. You will be ticketed!

From the Van Der Meer Shipyard courts, exit through the main gate of Shipyard. Turn left onto route 278 business. You will reach a traffic circle where you will take the second exit onto Greenwood Drive. When you come to the gate at Sea Pines enter the lane marked for visitors and tehll the gate guard that you are there for the tennis tournament. From the Sea Pines gate, take Greenwood Drive - all the way to the inner circle. Take the 2nd exit off of this circle. You will still be on Greenwood Drive, headed to South Beach. Follow Greenwood until it dead ends into South Sea Pines Drive. Go right at the stop sign. Stay on South Sea Pines Drive for about 2 miles. The South Beach Racquet Club will be on the right just before you reach the South Beach Marina Village (Salty Dog Cafe).

From the VanDer Meer Shipyard courts, exit through the main gate of Shipyard. Our left onto route 278 business. You will reach a traffic circle where you will take the second exit onto Greenwood Drive. When you come to the gate at Sea Pines enter the lane marked for visitors and tell the gate guard that are there for the tennis tournament. The directions from there are: Right onto Plantation Drive, Right onto Lighthouse Road, and Left onto Lighthouse Lane..

Stay on 278 coming on island and it becomes pope ave at the south side traffic circle. Stay on Pope until you turn right at Cordillo Ave. (stop light). Take the next left on Deallyon Ave. VDM Tennis Center will be approx one block up Deallyon on your right.

From Interstate 95, take Exit 8. Ignore other Hilton Head exit signs as this is the most direct route to the Island. From Exit 8, go East on Hwy 278 (Approx 17 miles) until you reach the Hilton Head Island bridge. Continue East on Highway 278 until you reach the Cross Island Expressway. The toll is $1.25, which is worth the price in time, gas, and traffic lights. After passing through the toll booth and crossing the Broad Creek bridge, you will be on Plalmetto Bay Road. Follow this road through two traffic lights and be in the left lane as you approach the Sea Pines Traffic circle. Travel through the traffic circle and exit onto Hwy 278 William Hilton Parkway. The entrance to Shipyard Plantation will be on your right.

It is imperative for you to add contact information (email and phone number to be used during the weekend) during the online registration process. We use this information to notify you of time changes, draw changes and alternates put into the tournament.

Players are cautioned not to enter two tournaments at the same time. Suggestions to avoid being penalized: If you are listed on the Alternate List, you must with-draw from the Alternate List first and then enter the 2nd Tournament. Tournaments have been assigned different deadlines that will allow you time to make your changes. You can receive suspension points for entering two tournaments at the same time. All withdrawals: Alternates and Players must be in writing to the Head Referee. IT IS THE PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEY HAVE BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM A TOURNAMENT.
