Welcome to the 2019 BG18's Level 2 Tournament at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center. We are a public park facility featuring 36 tennis courts (includes 24 outdoor, 6 indoor, 6 Ten and Under) and a full-service pro shop. We carry the latest in tennis racquets, strings, and other equipment, plus we offer prompt stringing service. Courtyard by Marriott is newly renovated this spring! Located 3.5 miles from the Tennis Center and .5 mile from Penn Square Mall and several restaurants. We have lined up several great Marriott hotels with discounted rates for you to choose from! If possible please support these hotels, they provide rooms for our officials so we want to support them! I personally tour each hotel yearly and highly recommend them. Each of these hotels have breakfast included in the rate, complimentary parking, restaurants in the area, plus a grab and go breakfast ready for those early 8:00am matches.

Marriott Residence Inn, located 3 miles from the Tennis Center and opened in the spring of 2017. There are 3 room types to choose from: King Bed with sofa bed Studio - $119.00, 1 Bedroom suite w/King bed and sofa bed - $129.00, 2 Bedroom Suite with 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed, 2 bathrooms and sofa bed - $159.00. All rooms have a full kitchen and includes a free large breakfast in the morning.
Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites NW Expressway, this location is 4.5 miles from the Tennis Center is only 7 years old and is just freshly remodeled. Rates are $94.00 per night for a 2 Queen bed studio or 1 King bed studio or $104.00 per night for a 2 Queen Suite or 1 King Suite all includes breakfast.
Marriott Springhill Suites this location is 5.6 miles from the Tennis Center and was remodeled last year. This location has free airport shuttle, complimentary shuttle service within a 3 mile radius, is surrounded by multiple restaurants and offers breakfast in the morning. Rates are $104.00 per night for a King Suite or 2 Queen Bedroom Suite.

Note: The tournament does not find doubles partners for you. If you have a partner, both players need to email me at okctenniscenter@att.net to indicate they are playing together by 6/29/19 at Noon. If you do not have a partner you have two options if you are wanting to play doubles.
1. You may ask to be placed in the blind draw.
2. At the Players Check-In, you may sign up that you're looking for a partner. During the check-in process you will have time to meet other players looking for partners. Note: if there is an odd number of players requesting to be in the blind draw someone will not be paired up. I will make the doubles draw following the Players Check-in.

Our player check-in will be from 5:00-6:30pm Friday June 28th. Please attend if at all possible. You will collect your welcome pack, verify your cell number, turn in your Medical Release (you can't play without it) and verify your doubles partner, or find one. The Doubles draw will be made immediately following the player check in.

All players must fill out the USTA waiver/ release form before they are allowed to play. You may do this at the player check in, or fill this form out in advance and email it to okctenniscenter@att.net

Matches will start at 8:00am every day
Day 1, Saturday June 29th - 2 rounds of Main draw singles matches, 1 round of Consolation singles matches, 1 round of Doubles
Day 2, Sunday June 30th - 1 round of Main draw singles match, 2 rounds of Consolation singles matches, 2 rounds of Doubles
Day 3, Monday July 1st - 2 rounds of Main draw singles matches, 2 rounds of Consolation singles matches, 1 round of Doubles
Day 4, Tuesday July 2nd - 1 round of Main draw singles, 2 rounds of Consolation singles matches, 1 round of Doubles

Main draw singles: (including playoff for 3rd and 4th). Best of three tiebreak sets with a 10 point tiebreak played in lieu of a 3rd set.
Back draw singles: Best of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10 point Match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set.
Doubles: 8 game pro set with a 7 point tiebreak at 7 games all. NO ADD Scoring

Singles: will be a 64 draw with a FIC that feeds in through the Round of 16.
Doubles: will be single elimination.
All Singles and Doubles draws shall have a playoff for 3rd and 4th place. All players are required to play the 3rd and 4th place playoff.

All withdrawals must be submitted in writing to the tournament director Steve Henry at okctenniscenter@att.net
There will be no refunds granted on withdrawals after 6/11/19.

We will open our gates at 7:00am for practice courts on a first come first serve basis.

It will be HOT in Oklahoma in late June/July, so hydrate before, during and after play! Come to the tournament started with your body fully hydrated. It would not be usual for the temperatures to be close to 100 degree in July in Oklahoma. Please stay hydrated.

If flying into Oklahoma City you will arrive and depart through Will Rogers World Airport. Our airport is quick and easy to get in and out of. The Oklahoma City Tennis Center is located 13 minutes or 9.8 miles from the airport.

Our courts will be open and free for practice June 28th for tournament players.
6/30 and after, I would use the Memorial Park courts located at 1150 NW 36th St. 3.2 miles east of the Tennis Center.

We have 6 indoor courts on site. No additional fees will be charged if we only use our indoor courts. If we must use off site indoor courts, a small fee may be charged.

Dean Richardville will be our referee for this event. All officials will be USTA certified officials.

We will be using the Wilson US Open Ball.

We will be using roving officials for all rounds except for the Doubles Finals, Singles semi's, Singles 3rd and 4th, and Singles Finals.

All SINGLES finalists and SINGLES champions of the June National Level 2 will automatically qualify for the same age division of The National Championships (Hard Courts). Players must still register for The National Championships in order to be considered for the event. NOTE: These players must still register for the tournament.
