Practice Courts Saturday morning
We have 7:30 to 8:30AM available for all doubles players playing tomorrow. 4 per courts, players only. For those of you that are playing just singles in the early round of singles at 9:15AM and 9:45AM we do have 2 practice courts available from 7:30AM to 9AM, four players per court, half hour maximum so all players can warm up. No players having practiced for doubles will take a court away from a player that is not playing doubles and needs to warm up before their singles matches.
We also have a few additional courts from 9:15AM to 9:45AM.
For all singles players, not playing in the first rounds of singles , Northeast Tennis Center has free courts from 9:30AM to 4:30pm.

With only 10 courts and 64 players coming in early Friday, I think it is best to adhere to the following practice policy
If you are playing doubles at 8AM, please register at 6:45AM and your practice time will be from 7AM to 7:30AM. If you are playing doubles at 8:45AM, register at 7:15AM or so and your practice time will be from 7:30 to 8:00AM. This will insure that every player has a chance to practice.
Courts are readily available prior to 7AM if you want to practice earlier.

We start with doubles at 8:00AM sharp. Registration will be open starting at 6:45AM. Please make sure to bring your waiver form already filled out and signed by the parent.to ensure fast check in. We will have plenty of courts to warm up. The club opens at 5:30aM

Many local restaurants are closed during Thanksgiving day. Here below is a updated list of restaurant that are open during Thanksgiving and are located close to the hotels.
Legal Seafood (famous seafood restaurant) is located in the North Shore Mall, close to all of the hotels and is open during Thanksgiving. They have great seafood and other dishes, a little pricey. If you would like to enjoy a nice meal with your family please contact them at 978 532 4500. I would suggest reserving your spot. Check out their website.

Just a reminder of the alternate rules. Before draw has been made, If a player is withdrawing from a sectional endorsement list from their section, the registered alternate on the endorsement list for their section will be the next one in line to take that sectional spot. If a player withdraws from the National Standing list, or draws has already been made when the player withdraws, then the first alternate listed from the National Standing list will be contacted.
Alternate list will be updated as players withdraw and alternates move into the main draw.

Complimentary practice courts are available at MAC on Thursday November 22nd (Thanksgiving) from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Hitting lesson can be arranged during the morning. We will have plenty of courts to accommodate everyone. Players will need to share courts if need be. Practice courts will be for players first, no coaches or parents allowed unless courts are readily available and no other players are not able to practice.
Practice courts will be available Friday-Monday from 6:00am to 8:00am. Same rules. 4 players per court, no coaches, no parents.

Aditional complimentary practice courts are available at Northeast Tennis Center in Middleton (17 miles from the MAC) on Friday November 23 and Saturday November 24 from 9:30am to 4:00pm and at the MAC on Sunday and Monday. Practice courts will be shared by tournament players only (4 to a court).


No coaches or parents will be allowed to take a space away from a player.

Concurrent Entries policy

Concurrent Entries Not Permitted Without Prior Approval
At the time entries close, no player may be entered in two or more sanctioned if any part of the tournaments overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing. USTA Regulation IV.C.12

Concurrent Entry Into Eddie Herr ITF and National Indoor Championships
The entry deadline for the 18s division of the Eddie Herr ITF is Tuesday, October 23rd. The entry deadline for the 12’s, 14’s and 16’s divisions of the Eddie Herr is October 1st. Acceptance lists for the main draw and the qualifier for the Eddie Herr will be posted prior to the November 1st entry deadline for the National Indoor Championships.

Players who registered for both and are selected for both tournaments (qualifying or main draw) must notify the Tournament Committees of which tournament they would like to participate in by November 12th. Players who withdraw from one event to participate in the other after the date of November 12th , or who apply for and receive wildcards for one of the events and then subsequently withdraw from the other will be assessed suspension points for withdrawing to play in another tournament. Players may not participate in both events

Selection for this Tournament will be done by the USTA National Office according to National Rules. Method of acceptance - 33 players selected from the National Standings List - 27 players Sectional Quota and 4 wild cards. The selection process will done soon after the tournament entry deadline by the National office.

Seeding is done using the most recently published National singles and Doubles standing list of the division in the order in which players appear.
Players who have ratings within the competitive range of those being considered for seeding, may also be considered. Additionally a player already under consideration for seeding may be seeded higher or lower if justified by the competitive range of the ratings.

Singles format is modified Feed-In Championship whereby the losers of the round of 64 and round of 32 are fed into a separate single elimination draw and the losers of the round of 16 and quarterfinals are fed into another separate single elimination draw and there is a playoff for third place> Consolation is mandatory. All singles matches Best of 3 with a Match TB in lieu of the 3rd set
Doubles format is single elimination with a playoff for third and fourth place - Doubles play is 6 game set with a 7 point tiebreak at 6-6. No-ad scoring

Official Ball - Wilson isthe official ball for the USTA National Indoor Tournament.

Waiver forms must be filled out by players and one of their parent. No coach can fill out a waiver form. Please fill out and print the release form prior to arriving to the club especially if the player is not accompanied by a parent.

Due to Thanksgiving, there will be no registration meeting on Thursday. Please register 1 hour prior to your first match time on Friday.
There will be courts open on Thanksgiving day for practice from 9am to 2pm. Registration will open on Friday at 6:45am
Make sure to bring your waiver form signed by a parent and guardian to registration.

All players are required to wear appropriate tennis attire and dress in a manner consistent with being a participant a USTA Junior National Championship. Compression shorts, sports bras, shirts with inappropriate language, attire that is inappropriately revealing, shoes not designed for tennis, and any attire that is recreational and not tennis-oriented is not acceptable. Players not meeting the dress code may be asked to change prior to going on the court.

We wil be starting with the round of 32 Doubles on Friday starting at 8AM
