Please confirm your match times online after 8pm. Some match times have been changed and more changes may occur as the afternoon progresses. PLEASE check and confirm your time online after 8 p.m.

Mandatory check-in for the tournament will be on Friday from 3 PM to 6 PM (EST) at the Harbour Town Golf Club House which is located across the parking lot from the tennis courts at 11 Lighthouse Lane, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928. If you are absolutely unable to make the Friday check-in, you must email your completed medical waiver to the referee and then check-in on Saturday at the main site at least 30 minutes before your first match. . If you checked in on Friday, report to your site of play 15 minutes prior to your match time on Saturday. You must have the Medical Release Form filled out and signed by a parent/guardian before playing your first match.

**IMPORTANT** The Sea Pines Resort is a gated community. We will have gate clearance for each participant in the tournament. Please read the following instructions for entering The Sea Pines Resort.
**GATE CLEARANCE** Please enter through the visitor’s side and mention to the guard that you are playing in the Stan Smith Junior Championship. The guard will let you enter Sea Pines at no charge. This gate clearance will be valid for the entire tournament and can also be used to enter the Resort during the evenings so guests can enjoy the resort amenities and dining establishments any time of day.

On-Site Alternates
If you are on the alternate list and wish to be a on-site alternate here are the instructions:
- Come to check in Friday and sign in with completed medical waiver.
- provide credit card number at Friday registration (in the event you get in)
- be at the main-site Saturday at 8 a.m. ready to play in the event someone doesn't show and you are put in.
- in the event of multiple on-site alternates, you will be placed in the order you are on the alternate list.

RACQUET STRINGING & PRO SHOP DISCOUNTS
The Sea Pines Racquet Club Pro Shop will be offering a special rate of $15 for all racquet stringing. In addition, you will receive a coupon in your packet for 20% off any regular priced item in the Pro Shop.

EARLY MORNING BREAKFAST
A full breakfast menu will be served beginning at 6:30 am at the LINKS Restaurant located across the parking lot from tennis at the Harbour Town Golf Club House. The Harbour Town Bakery (which is also close) also opens at 630 am each morning. Both locations will be offering a 15% discount to all tournament participants.

MAIN SITE FOOD & CONCESSIONS
We will be providing daily breakfast snacks at the Main Site (SPRC) consisting of bagels and muffins, as well as coffee from 7 am until 10 am for participants and their families. From 10 am until 4 pm daily we will have a golf cart concession station that will be serving turkey, tuna, and chicken salad wraps, snacks, chips, and a variety of drinks.

DINING DISCOUNTS
The Sea Pines Resort is offering 15% off at all of their dining establishments. Please see additional sheet for discount information. To get your discount please provide Sea Pines Amenity Card that is included in your player packet.

SMITH STEARNS DISCOUNTS
All tournament participants will receive a coupon for 20% off a Smith Stearns weekly tennis camp if registered by April 1st, 2020.

AWARDS
An overall Sportsmanship Award for each division will be presented on the last day of the tournament.
Champions, Finalists, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and Consolation Champion and Finalist awards will be given for singles.
Champions, Finalists, 3rd and 4th place awards will be given for doubles.
Singles Champions will also receive a pair of autographed Stan Smith shoes. Singles Finalists will receive Stan’s latest book “Stan Smith: Some People Think I’m a Shoe!”. Sportsmanship Award Winners will receive a free Smith Stearns Academy week.

Practice courts will be available at Smith Stearns (Sea Pines Racquet Club) Friday between 10-2 and after 4 Friday. These courts are available free of charge but private courts may not be reserved during those times. We ask that players and parents are courteous and willing to share courts if necessary.
Warm-up courts will be available each day starting at 7:00am at Sea Pines Racquet Club (PINES). Palmetto Dunes and South Beach will have courts available at 7:15 am Sat-Sun.
During the weekend four hard courts will be available for practice at 89 Lighthouse Rd. Hilton Head, SC. The code to enter these courts is 4555

GET PREPARED!!!! We will be offering special training at the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy. Each session will be supervised by one of our highly qualified pros at the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy. Sessions will run from 8:00-10:00 am and from 2:30-5:30 pm. The special rate for tournament participants is $50 per session. If you have questions about the event please review the messages below, most issues should be covered. Please do not call Smith Stearns with general tournament questions, emailing is the preferred method of communication.

Singles: 32 draw with a FIC-R16. Main draw will be full 2/3 sets, consolation is 2/3 with a match tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set. All 12s will play 2 out of 3 sets with a match tie break in lieu of a 3rd set in main and consolation.
Playoff for 3rd/ 4th in all divisions.


Doubles: 16 draw single elimination. 6 game pro set with a 7 point tie break at 6 games-all. Playoff for 3rd/4th place

This tournament will be played on Har-Tru green clay. Balls used will be Wilson US-Open.

A trainer will be on site throughout the tournament. The trainer will be located at the main site only in the training tent.

Stringing will be available during the tournament at the Sea Pines Racquet Club pro shop. Please allow a 24 hour turn around. If you have your own string, the cost is $15.

Before entry deadline:
If you must withdrawal after entering you must withdrawal online, not by phone or email. If you do not withdrawal online before the entry deadline your card will be charged the full amount. We can not avoid this on our send so please withdrawal online prior to the deadline.


After entry deadline:
After the entry deadline you must email the referee at kshesketh@aol.com ; include your USTA number, name, event entered, and reason for the withdrawal. Withdrawing.

There are several airport options:
Hilton Head Airport (HHH) is 11.5 miles or 20 min. from tournament site
Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is 49 miles or 1 hr from tournament site
Charleston International Airport (CHS) is 109 miles or 2hr 15 min from tournament site


All listed airports feature rental car companies. CHS and SAV are Uber friendly with one-way costs to the tournament site estimated at $100-130 and $55-65, respectively. Uber is also available on the island.

Roving officials will be available throughout the event as well as a site-director at each site. We will try to maintain a ratio of 1 official per 3 courts at each site.

Players may choose ONE of the following options, but NOT both:
OPTION 1: Enter any ONE (1) division of TWO (2) concurrent USTA National Level 3 Tournaments (this may be a different division in each tournament)
OPTION 2: Enter TWO (2) divisions of ONE (1) USTA National Level 3 Tournament
Players may PLAY in only ONE division of ONE tournament. Players who register for three (3) or more events will be given 5 suspension points and will only be selected into a maximum of two events.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PLAYERS WHO ARE ACCEPTED INTO ONE EVENT AT THE TIME OF SELECTION ARE INELIGIBLE FOR THE ALTERNATE LIST OF ANOTHER EVENT. WE URGE PLAYERS TO ONLY SIGN UP FOR EVENTS THEY WOULD PLAY IF ACCEPTED.

Registration for this event closed 8/22/19 at 11:59 a.m.. This deadline was set far in advance by National and is not flexible.


Late entries are excepted under the following conditions:


*The late entry will be placed at the BOTTOM of the alternate list regardless of ranking, This means the likelihood of moving to the top of the alternate list and being selected is very low.


*If you would still like to be placed at the bottom of the alternate list email the director your name, division playing, cell phone number, and USTA #


*Late entries may not be listed in another tournament and must meet all national requirements for citizenship. If you are found to be on the alternate list and playing in another event you are subject to USTA suspension points.

1. IF you have been selected to the tournament you can email your partner name and USTA number to the director or referee if BOTH players have been selected for singles.
2. Use the Match Tennis App to find a partner (after selection) if you need a partner. We are NOT allowed to share player information, you must use the app if you are trying to find a partner.
3. Selected players that are without a partner will be randomly paired prior to making the draw.

If you need a doubles partner please use The Match Tennis App Free Doubles Pairing Service. Please click the link below to register, add your name to the doubles request list, and communicate privately with others who are also looking for a doubles partner. This service is privatized through Match Tennis App, so you do NOT have to share any personal contact info with others unless you choose to do so!

Tournament selection will be posted Friday August 23rd by 6 p.m.


If you are selected into 2 different L3 events this same weekend, you have until Tuesday Aug 27th at 6pm to notify the director by email if you are playing a different event. After that date/time there will be no refunds and players are subject to suspension points for being in 2 events. This applies to alternates as well. If you are on our alternate list and playing somewhere else you must notify us you are withdrawing.
