GREEN BALL YOUTH PROGRESSION - S.E. MICHIGAN 10s QUALIFIER

IMPORTANT: DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR ENTRY (SEE BELOW).

Event will take place at Franklin Athletic Club 29350 Northwestern Hwy, Southfield, MI 48034

All players will receive a Free T-shirt. Format will be 2 out of 3 sets, with a 3rd set tie-break. This is a District Level 3 and Midwest Level 3 Event for Points Per Round.

This is a Youth Progression Tournament. Players under the age of 10, must have completed their Youth Progression Orange Ball Requirements to be selected.

ENDORSEMENT INTO THE MIDWEST CLOSED OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS (July 7th)
Top finishers in the S.E. MICHIGAN 10s QUALIFIER (Main Draw Champion & Finalist) will receive an automatic entry (Endorsement) into the Midwest Closed 10s Outdoor Championships (July 6-8). Additional Quota Spots (exact number to be determined in April) and Alternates for the Midwest Closed 10s Outdoor Championships will be selected from the top Southeast Michigan Players on the most recent Midwest Standing List posted before the Midwest Closed 10s Outdoor Championship deadline.

PLAYERS MUST COMPLETE ALL RESIDENCY AND CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS (See below).

ENTRANTS MUST PROVIDE BOTH OF THE FOLLOWING:
PROOF OF RESIDENCY: A copy of the entrant's report card* or driver's license must be sent and received at the USTA-Southeast Michigan District office no later than 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

**For electronic report cards that do not bear the school's name and address, you may ask your school's counseling office to prepare a Letter of Student Attendance at the school. For home schooled entrants, please complete the "USTA/Midwest Declaration of Domicile Form" & "USTA/Midwest Affidavit of Domicile Form"

PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP: A copy of the entrant's Birth Certificate, US Passport, valid Alien Registration Card or I-485 Letter must be sent and received at the USTA-Southeast Michigan District office no later than 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15th, 2018.

In order to participate in the Qualifier, player must be registered in tournament on TennisLink by 11:59pm on May 13th, 2018 AND proper documentation MUST be on file prior to Tuesday, May 16th at 4pm.

The 10s Qualifier Committee reserves the right to further verify eligibility of all entrants.

Player Reminders:
1) When either tournament entry closes, a player may not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments if any part of the tournaments overlap, unless all Tournament Committees/Directors understand the situation and agree in writing. Written approval from both Tournament Committees/Directors must be received in the District Office prior to the deadline of either tournament. This information can be sent via fax, mail or email however, it is the parent/legal guardian's responsibility that the District Office receives such written notice to ensure suspension points are not issued.

2) All players are expected to play and complete all scheduled matches during a tournament. A player shall not withdraw from an event (before the start of a match in any round) for any reason, including illness, injury, or personal emergency. If the player withdraws for any reason, the match shall be recorded as a Withdrawal or Default and the player will not be eligible for endorsement into the Midwest Closed. All players withdrawing from a tournament after the tournament entry deadline FOR ANY REASON will be subject to suspension points. Withdrawing players will receive 2 suspension points - defaulting players will receive 5 suspension points.

FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN SUSPENSION POINTS.

NO PHONE, EMAIL OR FAX ENTRIES ACCEPTED.
ABSOLUTELY NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER TOURNAMENT ENTRY DEADLINE HAS PASSED FOR WITHDRAWALS OR FAILURE TO SUPPLY PROPER DOCUMENTATION.

Tournament will be played on regulation-size court using a modified "Green Dot" transition ball. This tournament is open to Southeast Michigan District residents only. Entrant must be a legal resident of Hillsdale, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Wayne, or Washtenaw county.

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN DOES NOT ALLOW JUNIOR TOURNAMENT ENTRIES AFTER THE TENNISLINK DEADLINE. All competitors (phone in, mail in and tennislink) MUST show up on TennisLink at the time of deadline. If you are aware of a Southeast Michigan Tournament adding players after the TennisLink deadline, please notify the District Office immediately (email: tennis@semich-usta.com or call 1-734-421-1025). Exceptions to this rule are Novice Tournaments or any division with three (3) or less entrants after deadline.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.

Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, May 13, 2018 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
