Boys & Girls 10's & Girls 18's
The girls 18's will have 3 players move to the finals. they will play a round robin event on the last day. The Girls & Boys 10's will have two players from each group go to the finals. The semi's will pit the 1st place Vs. the 2nd place from opposite group.

ROUND ROBIN EVENT
*There will be 16 players per age division *There will be 4 groups in each age division *Each player will play everyone in their group. One match a day. (Sat, Sun, Mon) *The winner of each group will come back on Tuesday and play a Semi & final. Also 3/4 playoff. *If any division does not fill up, we will change the format to accommodate the # of players we have.

Match Format
The round robin matches on Saturday, Sunday & Monday will play a "match tie break" in lieu of a third set.
The Semi-Finals & 3/4 playoff on Tuesday will play a "match tie break" in lieu of a third set. Finals on Tuesday will play out a full third set in case of split sets.(10 & 12 year old divisions will play a match tie break (up to 10) in lieu of a third set for all the matches)

Selection Process
We will use the top 16 players with the highest UTR Rating for each division. For the 10 & under we will use the SCTA Ranking list for selection.

Seeding Method
We will use the UTR information and use the "waterfall" method to put players in the 4 groups.

Final Day Seeds
The top 2 players with the highest UTR will be the #1 & #2 seeds. the other two players will be put in randomly by the computer. (BG 10's semi's will not play players from the same group)

IN CASE OF ROUND ROBIN TIES
IF THERE IS A TIE BETWEEN TWO PLAYERS IN A GROUP. THE HEAD TO HEAD WINNER WILL GO TO THE FINALS. IF THERE IS A 3 WAY TIE, THEN THE PLAYERS WHO LOSES THE LEAST AMOUNT OF SETS WILL GO ON. IF STILL A TIE THEN THE PLAYER WHO LOSES THE LEAST AMOUNT OF GAMES WILL MOVE ON TO THE FINALS.

RANKING POINTS FOR THIS EVENT
70 points per round robin win with 4 players moving on to the playoffs on Tuesday (if we do not have at least 16 players in a division then we will figure out other ways/number of players to reach final day). Winner of the playoff gets an additional 200 points, finalist gets an additional 160, and third place is 140 points.

ALTERNATES
IT'S POSSIBLE THAT A PLAYER WILL INJURE THEMSELVES OR BECOME ILL DURING THE EVENT. WE WILL ALLOW ALTERNATES TO FILL IN AND TAKE THE PLACE OF A WITHDRAWN PLAYER. ALL ALTERNATES MUST HAVE SIGNED UP ONLINE PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT DEADLINE. THESE PLAYERS WILL BE CHARGED A REDUCED RATE.

Recording or your Tennis Match!!!
All matches played at Lakewood Tennis Center will be recorded in HD.
The recordings will be available for purchase by
tournament competitors at a moderate cost. This is a great service which
can be used as a developmental tool to move your game ahead or simply
as a historical archive of your matches. Check in at the Pro Shop to
find out how to order yours. Your recording will be emailed to you soon after the event.

Signing up for more than one division
If you would like to sign up for two age divisions, it's OK to do that. please email me that you have done this so I am aware of it. You will be placed in the older age first. if you do not make it into that, I will try to put you in the younger age division.

Dress Code
The Lakewood Tournament and all officials of this event
would like to inform the players of our expectations of proper attire while
competing in this tournament.
GIRLS: No sports bras or compression shorts are to be worn alone; midriff must
be covered when arms are at rest, and spandex shorts must be covered by
additional shorts or skirt.
BOYS: No cut off t-shirts, or cut off shorts. Sleeveless tennis shirts may be
worn. No reference to drugs, violence, alcohol, or foul language may be
depicted on player attire.

For Southern California ranking, this is a Level 4 event. If you
have a time conflict, you must let the director know before draws
are made. Refunds only given to players who withdraw at least seven
days prior to tournament start date.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
