39th Annual Lakewood Junior Open Tournament (Level 4)

Courts are dry so come on time to your match. make sure you come to the correct site. we are using LAKEWOOD TENNIS CENTER & SEAL BEACH TENNIS CENTER TODAY!!

Steady rain at Lakewood Tennis Center. I have decided to postpone this event until next weekend, March 17th, 18th & 19th. Please pick one of these three options and email me your answer today. The new schedule will be posted on WEDNESDAY evening.
1. Play next weekend, March 17th, 18th & 19th.
2. Take credit for a future event here at Lakewood Tennis Center. (no penalty for withdrawal)
3. Give your credit to the Long Beach Tennis Patrons for the benefit of disadvantaged kids trying to learn the game of tennis.

The draws will be remade.

I WILL BE REMAKING THE DRAWS AS MANY CAN NOT PLAY NEXT WEEKEND. I WILL POST THE NEW DRAWS/SCHEDULE ON WEDNESDAY EVENING.

ON SATURDAY NIGHT MARCH 10TH, PLEASE SET YOU CLOCKS FORWARD ONE HOUR BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP. TIME CHANGES AND YOU DON'T WANT TO BE LATE.

TENNISLINK WILL BE DOING SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ON TUESDAY, MARCH 6TH. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE SIGNING UP ONLINE, EMAIL ME YOUR ENTRY AND I WILL TAKE CARE OF IT.

For the events that have too many players to finish by Sunday, the semi's & finals will be played on Monday & Tuesday night at 5 pm or after.

This is a great service which can be used as a developmental tool to move your game ahead or simply as a historical archive of your matches. Check in at the Pro Shop to find out how to order yours. If you think you would like your match recorded, please email me so I can schedule your match at Lakewood Tennis or El Dorado Park Tennis Centers.

For this event, UTR will be the main factor in seeding. We reserve the right to use other factors if the seeding committee deem it appropriate.

All ages will be play a match tie break (first to 10 by 2) in lieu of a third set. For the finals, all 14-18 divisions will play regular 2 out of 3 tie break sets.

For Southern California open ranking purposes, this tournament is a SCTA Level 4 event. For 2015 tournaments, Level 4 points will be awarded based on draw size for each individual event. more info

The Long Beach Tournament and all officials of this event would like to inform the players of our expectations of proper attire while competing in this tournament.
GIRLS: No sports bras or compression shorts are to be worn alone; midriff must be covered when arms are at rest, and spandex shorts must be covered by additional shorts or skirt.
BOYS: No cut off t-shirts, or cut off shorts. Sleeveless tennis shirts may be worn. No reference to drugs, violence, alcohol, or foul language may be depicted on player attire.
