DOUBLES PAIRINGS
If you are looking for a partner, please contact the tournament director. Any player looking for partner will be randomly placed with another player who is also looking for a partner. The deadline to submit your doubles pairings is Wednesday, August 29th at 5:00PM.
* Please note - both partners must confirm the partnership before we can pair them.

REGISTRATION (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
Players can register early on Friday, August 31st at Cooper Creek Tennis Center from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. If you do not register early, you must register on Saturday by 7:15 am if you have an 8:00 am match or 1/2 half hour prior to your first scheduled match. NO EXCEPTIONS.

PLAYING SITE
Matches will be held at Cooper Creek Tennis Center Cooper Creek Tennis Center (Main Site) is located at 5050 Cooper Creek Parkway, Columbus, Georgia 31907. Cooper
Creek Tennis Center is a public facility with 39 clay courts; 12 hard court and 4 60' Quickstart courts. There are walking and bike
paths on site. Directions to Cooper Creek Tennis Center from I-185:
Take I-185 S to Exit 7 (Manchester Expressway). Turn east onto
Manchester Expressway. Travel approximately 2 miles to the Warm Springs
Road Connector. Travel up the exit ramp and turn right. The entrance to
Cooper Creek Park is directly ahead. Tournament check-in
desk will be on the left side of the road at the annex building.

ELIGIBILITY
Must be a resident of USTA Southern. This is defined as individuals who have established a legal residency in one of nine states of USTA Southern whose geographical boundaries are determined by USTA Southern. Legal residency for juniors is that of his/her legal supporting parent(s). Individuals must be United States citizens or permanent resident aliens.

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1A, 2, and 3 tournaments. #1.
Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will
automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be
removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to
either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division
but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the
alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the
other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

SELECTION
USTA Southern will provide selection list. Players will be
selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing list in the age division in
which they apply. Players will no longer be considered for selection based on
their lower age division standings
Doubles Selection Criteria (Doubles teams must play in the division selected for Singles) 1. Both players have been selected in singles 2. One player has been selected into the singles and is partnered with an alternate 3. Both players are alternates 4. One player has been selected into the singles and is partnered with no singles entry 5. Alternate and no singles entry 6. Neither are entered in singles Please contact Tournament Director directly via email if you are only playing doubles.

WITHDRAWALS
WITHDRAWALS PRIOR TO ENTRY DEADLINE If you have entered and wish to withdraw prior to the entry deadline, please go to the tournament web page and click on Edit Registration. You will need your confirmation number that you received in your confirmation e-mail to complete the withdrawal process. WITHDRAWALS AFTER SELECTION & DURING TOURNAMENT A player shall not enter a tournament and then withdraw when the player discovers that tough opponents have also entered. A player may withdraw from a match or tournament only because of injury, illness, or personal circumstance; written verification must be provided. A player who cannot play a match shall notify the Referee in writing (NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED) immediately so that the opponent may be notified at once and saved a trip.
No refunds for any reason for withdrawals after the deadline.

PLAYING & SCORING FORMAT
128 draw for both single divisions with Feed-In (FIC) through the Round of 16 with Quarterfinal playoff. In
1A Championships, the quarterfinal losers automatically go into
their own back draw. The four losers will play and then the two winners
for 5th & 6th place. The 7th & 8th place do not play. Doubles
divisions consist of 64 teams. Single elimination for doubles draw. A 3/4 playoff shall be played in both singles and doubles.
Scoring: Singles - Main draw scoring format will be the best 2 out of 3 sets. Consolation and Quarter Final play-off will be two tiebreak sets with match tie break in lieu of a third set. Doubles - A 6-game set with ad scoring will be played, with a set tie break played at 6-all.

All players must have a copy of a Birth Certificate or Green Card on file in the Southern office. Players should click on the "more info" link to see if your name is on file. If your name does not appear on the list please fax it to 770-368-9091 or e-mail simon@sta.usta.com.

TENNIS PARENT AND JUNIOR MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
The USTA Southern Section requires a signed release covering
all entrants in USTA Southern Section events. The release must be signed by the
entrant and parent or guardian of any entrant who is a minor.

SEEDING
Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Doubles Seeding Criteria: Teams shall be seeded in the order of their combined standings (e.g., Player A holds the #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A & B would have combined standing of 11.) Teams that have the same combined standing shall be seeded by the by the highest singles seed of the four (4) players.

DRAWS
Draws will be posted on Thursday, August 30th by 3:00 pm (barring any last minute withdrawals).

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
Based on 128 draw size in Singles and 64 draw size for Doubles. Saturday – 1 round Doubles, 2 rounds Main draw singles, 1 round Consolation. Sunday – 2 rounds Doubles, 2 rounds Consolation singles, 2 rounds Main draw singles. Monday – QF Doubles, 2 rounds Consolation singles, 2 rounds Main draw singles, SF Doubles. Tuesday – F and 3/4 playoff Doubles, 2 rounds Consolation singles, F and 3/4 playoff Main draw singles. Please note that the Consolation will not be completed. This schedule is subject to change with inclement weather. The
quarterfinal losers automatically go into their own back draw. The four
losers will play and then the two winners for 5/6 place. The 7/8 place
will not playoff.

PROCESS WHEN REGISTRATION CLOSES
Registration closes Sunday, August 19, 2018 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) After registration closes ... To enter send an email to: hanane@corta.org Late entries will be processed on a first come - first serve basis. Late entries that effect the seeding are NOT allowed. Please include the player's name, age division and USTA # with request. Please call the CORTA office at 706-317-4136 to give payment information.

DOUBLES INFORMATION
Registration Deadline & Playing Time: Doubles registration will close on Wednesday, August 29th at noon.. Doubles Partnership Confirmation & Pairing Requests: 1. Doubles players must email the Tournament Director (hanane@corta.org) with their partner if both players do not register online(i.e. if only one player has selected their partner online then both players need to send an email confirming the partnership). If we do not receive an email from both players the team will not be entered in the draw. 2. If you do not have a partner and want to be paired with someone you must send an email request and provide permission to release your contact information to players searching for a partner. 3. If you wish to be paired "blindly" with someone, please send an email request along with permission to release your contact information to the player that we partner you with. If you are paired with someone and choose not to play after the draw has been made, you may be subject to suspension points for being a "No Show" or withdrawing from the tournament,

LATE ENTRIES
Late entries may be accepted or placed on the alternate list in the order received after entries received by the deadline. Entries received at the same time are ordered randomly. If the draw has been made the Tournament Committee may accept only late entries of players who do not invalidate the seeding. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for Late Entries.

ALTERNATES
Alternate’s List: The alternate list will be updated daily after selections are made. Once posted, it will be listed above - "Alternate by Event" list. If you plan to enter another tournament, you must first e-mail the Tournament Director to take your name off the alternate list. On Site Alternates must register at their age group's tournament site. You must inform the Tournament Referee by Friday (8/31) night or before that you plan to be an On-Site Alternate. Please make sure we have accurate contact information for you to be reached during the weekend. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on-site when their age and gender check in for play 30 minutes prior to the first match in the first round (or 2nd round if there are Byes).

ATHLETIC TRAINER
The Athletic Trainer will be on site 1/2 hour prior to the start of play each day. If you have an injury or illness, we strongly suggest you see the trainer. If you need to withdraw due to injury or illness, written confirmation can be provided by the trainer. Without confirmation, or a written doctors excuse by the end of the tournament, you may incur suspension points for leaving. Remember if you withdraw during the tournament, you must see the Head Referee in person or it will count as a "No Show."

STRINGER
There will be a stringer on-call at Cooper Creek Tennis Center during the tournament.

TENNIS BALL BEING USED
Dunlop Grand Prix balls will be used for this tournament.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, August 19, 2018 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
