Practice Courts
PRACTICE COURTS: You may book practice courts beginning Monday, July 9 by calling the proshop 901.765.4444.
Practice
courts will be available at the Racquet Club of Memphis on Thursday, July 12 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. NO practice courts will be available during the
Mandatory Players Meeting. You can book ONLY one court in
advance for one hour. There is no charge for the practice courts.
Players only on-site. No coaches are allowed to hit on-site after Friday, July 13. PRACTICE COURTS ON TOURNAMENT
DATES: JULY 15-21
Practice courts beginning Sunday will be available from 6:45-7:15 OR
7:15-7:45 for players only. Players may sign up at check in Saturday, July 14, for Sunday courts. Beginning Sunday, players will be able to call Ridgeway and reserve practice courts. Courts will be 10/hr per player. Colonial will NOT be available for practice courts during the event. Beginning Sunday, players may sign up in person at
the main site tournament desk for the following day's courts. Practice courts beginning Saturday, July 14, may be reserved at
The Tournament Desk. PLAYERS ONLY may sign up each day for a practice
court for the following day. Coaches, parents, or player representatives
are NOT allowed to sign up for players' practice courts. If two players
would like to be on the same court, BOTH PLAYERS MUST BE PRESENT. Courts are
assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis only.

Hotel Information
Doubletree and the Marriott are
the official hotels of the USTA Girls' 16 National Clay Court
Championships. Doubletree is 50 yards from The Racquet Club, has
dining facilities and airport transportation, and has given this tournament a
discounted rate of $120 per night for the girl participants. The Marriott
is located 3 miles from the Club. Rooms have
been blocked off for the tournament. Please contact hotels directly for deadline to receive rate.

Doubles Information
ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK-IN ON SATURDAY, JULY 14 at the DOUBLES REGISTRATION TABLE at the Racquet Club of Memphis TO BE ENTERED in the doubles draw. Doubles players that do not have a partner may be paired with another player looking for a partner by the tournament committee.

SEEDING CRITERIA AND PROCEDURE
Singles Seeding: There will be 64 Seeds. 1-16 will be listed numerically; the next 48 seeds will be seeding alphabetically by grouping 17-32 and 33-64 respectively. 1. Singles Seeding will be done using the most recently published National Singles Seeding List. If players are separated by less than 100 ranking points, they may be moved within major groups (1-4,5-8,9-16,17-32,33-64) due to direct wins. If players are separated by less than 50 ranking points, they may be moved between major groups due to direct wins. 2. Players with ATP, WTA, ITF, and WTA rankings shall also be considered. 3. Players not yet considered for seeding who have ratings within the competitive range of those being considered, may also be considered for seeding. Additionally, a player already under consideration for seeding may be seeded higher or lower if justified by the competitive range of the ratings.
Doubles Seeding: There will be 32 Seeds. 1-16 will be listed numerically; 17-32 will be listed alphabetically. Seeding will be done using the most recently published National Individual Doubles Seeding List. - Teams will be seeded in the order of their combined standings. Alternate Information
Step 1: Check-In with Maggie Russell on Saturday, July 14 from 3:00-6:00 PM Step 2: Pay your entry fee of $165 before you can be listed as an On-Site alternate. If you do not play doubles or make it to singles the entry fee will be returned to you. Step 3: Check your Standing around 10:00 PM on Saturday, July 14. After all players have checked in, we order all the
On-Site Alternates according to their standings on the Girls’ 16 Clays National
Alternate List. We will post this list on the web site. Please check the
USTA website (Tournament ID #700000418) on Friday night to determine your
standing on the On-Site Alternate List. Step 4: Sign in at the tournament desk each morning. Must check in at 8:00 AM the first two days. All alternates must sign in on the alternate list on board on site. Step 5: Watch and Wait. If a player no-shows for a match or a player withdraws
before setting foot on the court for her first match, we then call the highest
ordered On-Site Alternate who has signed in on time to the Racquet Club
Tournament Desk, and that player will be placed in the draw.

Mandatory Player Meeting / Player Party
There will be a mandatory meeting
for all players at 6:00 p.m. Saturday July, 14 held
on Court 4 outdoors at The Racquet Club of Memphis. This meeting will only last
30 minutes to an hour. All important information regarding sites, practice
courts, first match times, transportation, club access, etc, will be discussed
at this meeting.The group photo for 2018 will also be taken at this time. Make
sure that you are at this mandatory meeting.There will be NO PRACTICE COURTS
open 6:00 - 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 14. All first match times will be
available at the player meeting. During your check-in, you will be able to
check your time and book your practice court for the next day. No player times
or practice courts for Sunday will be available until after the Mandatory
Player Meeting.
Following the Player Meeting, there will be a Player Party in the Pub at the Racquet Club from 6:00 - 8:00 PM to welcome all players and families.

The Player and College Bio Books will be available in
color via digital format and sold for $35.
If you would like a hard copy, the fee is $45.00 for both. The deadline to submit form is Friday, JULY 6.

when you registered for the event. When you arrive at the next page,
click on "WITHDRAW" on the left hand side of the screen. YOU
WILL NEED YOUR CONFIRMATION FROM YOUR ORIGINAL REGISTRATION TO WITHDRAW ONLINE.
Because your credit card has not been charged prior to the entry deadline, no

Entry Requirements and Registration
USTA National Championship
sectional quotas will apply. USTA membership is required. Entry must be made via
the USTA Registration System. The TennisLink ID # is 700000418. Deadline
for entry is Thursday, June 21, 2018 11:59 AM (ET). Cost is $161.75 for 1 Event; $162.26 for 2 Events. **Please confirm that your entry went through
and was accepted. Just because you register does not mean you will be accepted
to play. Singles Draw of 256, Doubles is a 96 draw size. USTA Registration for Singles entries closes
on June 21. Doubles entries close at 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 14 at
Check-In. All Doubles entrants will need to confirm their entry on Saturday, July 16. There will be a feed-in to consolation tournament for singles through the Quarterfinals. Documented seeding and ranking
information is imperative if you wish to be considered for seeding.

Refund Policy
After entries close, refunds will typically not be given unless it has been approved by the Tournament Committee.

Tournament Stringing
Stringing for the tournament will be available at the Racquet Club of Memphis throughout the tournament. The cost is 20/racquet if you provide your own string. The pro shop will have a variety of string available for purchase as well. Turnaround time on stringing will be 12 hours or less depending upon your specific situation.

Athletic Trainers On-Site
We will have certified athletic trainers available and on-site at The Racquet Club of Memphis, The University Club, and Memphis Country Club daily during match play. They will arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the first match.

Wild Cards are granted for the USTA National Championships by the USTA Wildcard Committee. Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left.
