PARKING FOR ULL
You must park by the football stadium. You are not allowed to drop off at the tennis courts or park by the athletic facility/baseball field. They will be towing vehicles that are parked in those areas

Southern Closed Will Have Direct Acceptance List
USTA Southern will create a direct acceptance list for the Southern
Closed Championships that includes the top 16 age-eligible players for
each of the Boys’ and Girls’ 12s-18s divisions. This list will exempt
players from playing their state qualifier.
The direct acceptance list for each age division (BG12-18s) will be
published on this website on May 15. This list will be comprised of the
top 16 age-eligible players for June in their respective age divisions.
Players not listed on the direct acceptance list are not eligible for
this exemption

BIRTH CERTIFICATE REQUIRED
As proof of U.S. citizenship, all players are required to have a birth certificate on file with the Southern Tennis Association in order to be eligible to play in the LA Jr. State Qualifying. If you do not have one on file with the Southern office, you may fax a copy to the Louisiana Tennis Association at 225-769-0347, Attention: Katilyn Simpson. You may also email a copy to ltacommtennis@louisianatennis.com

Scoring for all 10s events
The 10U divisions will be Green Level 1. Green level 10's
will play on the 78 foot court using Green Low Compression Balls and up
to 29" racquet.
The required scoring format for all 10's singles matches, shall be the best of
two short sets - Ad Scoring (first to four (4) and win by two), with a
set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set
tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) in lieu of the third set.
NO COACHING ALLOWED
FOR 10’S DIVISIONS BECAUSE OF SHORT SETS & 7-PT MATCH TIEBREAK .

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
The USTA Southern Section and
the Louisiana Tennis Association requires a signed release covering all
entrants in USTA Southern Section events. The release must be signed by the
entrant and parent or guardian of any entrant who is a minor.

Boy's and Girl's 10's- Scoring format will be the short set
scoring format. All 10's will play two sets to 4 games with a tie
breaker at 4-4 (7 point tie breaker at 4-4.) The third set will be
decided by 7 point tie breaker. Doubles scoring will be one set to
6 with a 7 point tiebreaker at 6-6. Surface will be on Clay.
The Doubletree by Hilton is the official tournament hotel offering
a 89.00 rate for doubles and 99.00 for a King bed. Call
337-235-6111 and ask for the Louisiana Junior Qualifying block.

The Central Seeding Committee, a sub-committee of the Junior Tennis Council, is responsible for seeding players in the LA State Closed Junior Qualifying Tournament.
A. Seeding of players for the LA Qualifier will be based solely on the most recent Southern Standings available to the committee. Players aging up with a higher standing at the lower age division will be seeded by the STA seeding calculator at this link on the USTA Southern website. http://s3.amazonaws.com/ustaassets/assets/638/15/southern_seeding_calculator_2013.pdf?intloc=headernavsub2 Players that have a 10’s (orange ball) standings shall not be considered for seeding in the 12’s division.
