There is a rain delay for the matches that were scheduled for tonight, Thursday, April 27th. Please check back at 7:00p.m. for an update. Matches are tentatively scheduled for 8:00p.m.

Match Schedule Changes Due to Predicted Weather
Poor weather conditions are predicted for Thursday, April 27th and possibly Sunday, April 30th. We will be working to move as many Thursday matches as possible to Wednesday or another day. Please watch all draws as this could mean 9:00p.m. matches on Wednesday and Friday. Draws could be updated as late as Wednesday morning. While we won't know what the weather will eventually be we are trying to take preventative action to allow us to complete the tournament with the information available to us.

T-shirts
T-shirts will be provided for all participants; please enter your correct t-shirt size during registration. T-shirts will be a cotton/poly blend. T-shirts are not guaranteed for late entrants.

Scoring and Draw Format
*Draws that have 4 or fewer players will use a round robin format. *All matches will use a 10 point tie break in lieu of a 3rd set. *We reserve the right to change scoring as needed in case of inclement weather. *Besides round robin divisions, all levels will be automatic First Match Loser Consolation.

Players competing in two events are restricted to the following options:
1 Singles & 1 Doubles 1 Singles & 1 Mixed Doubles 1 Doubles & 1 Mixed Doubles PLEASE NOTE: Entry into two divisions may require you to play back to back matches. You may NOT play in two of the same divisions. Ex. Men's 3.0 singles and Men's 3.5 singles.

Scheduling / Avoidance
If you have a conflict, please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate your request! Send an email to banana@corta.org with the time/day request by the close of entries on Sunday, April 17th. All efforts will be made to “try” and honor the avoidance requests as long as it does NOT affect the continuation of play of the tournament. Players are limited to one avoidance.

Playing Site - Cooper Creek Tennis Center
Cooper Creek Tennis Center is a public facility with a two story clubhouse overlooking 39 rubico courts and 12 hard courts. In 1996 and again in 2001, Cooper Creek Tennis Center received the "Outstanding Tennis Facilty" award from the USTA. In the spring of 1993, a clubhouse and 8 courts were added to the original 12 courts (built in 1972). In March of 1997, the original 12 courts were completely renovated. In December of 1999, construction began on an additional 10 courts including a stadium court and were completed in April 2000. In 2017, a new CORTA clubhouse/office along with 9 additional clay courts and 12 hard courts were added. With the addition of these new courts, Cooper Creek is arguably the finest facility in the United States. Directions to Cooper Creek Tennis Center: 5050 Cooper Creek Parkway, Columbus, GA (706) 317-4186 Take I-185 to Exit 7 (Manchester Expressway). Turn east onto Manchester Expressway. Travel approximately 2 miles to the Warm Springs Road Connector. Travel up the exit ramp and turn right. The entrance to Cooper Creek Park is directly ahead. The clubhouse is a two-story building located on your right as you enter the park. Tournament check-in is located at the Annex on the left hand side of the road when you enter Cooper Creek Park.

This NTRP/Open tournament allows you to accrue Georgia ranking/standing points that maximize your opportunity to play in the Georgia State NTRP Championships. All eligible Georgia players are encouraged to register for these tournaments. Sanctioned
NTRP tournaments will now count toward s player’s “computer” rating at year-end
(used for league play) and NTRP tournament-only players will generate a
tournament exclusive (‘T’) rating after playing 3 or more tournament matches.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, April 16, 2017 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
