Rain Delay - Thursday, July 27th @ 6:50p.m. Due to rain we are in a 90 minute rain delay. All 6:00p.m. and 7:30/8:00p.m. matches check the website for an update at 7:45p.m. Be prepared to play at 8:15p.m.

Prize $$ Awarded for Men's OPEN Singles/Doubles*
Prize money will be awarded as follows: Singles Champion $500 Finalist $250 Semifinalists $100/each. Doubles Champions $400 per team Finalists $200 per team. Men's OPEN Singles/Doubles will be best 2 out of 3 tie-break sets.
*Prize money is based on filling out a 16 player draw in the singles division and an 8 team draw in the doubles division. If enough entries are not received to fill the draw, prize money may be reduced according to size and strength of draw.

Automatic Entry into Consolation Draw
We are offering automatic feed into the CONSOLATION draw for First Match Losers. We will not give any avoidances for consolation matches. Consolation draw is for first match losers only. If you have a bye and lose your second round, you can play consolation. If you win your first round and lose your second round you can not play consolation. Scoring format will be regular scoring as the rest of the tournament. Larger consolation draws may not finish.

Avoidances
Please notify the Tournament Director by email at elvis@corta.org of any time/day requests by the close of entries Wednesday, July 20th @ 11:59 pm. All efforts will be made to “try” and honor the avoidance requests as long as it does NOT affect the continuation of play of the tournament. Please note that if your time request is such that you cannot play at all on certain days and you are in a group that will play starting Wednesday or Thursday then you need to reconsider entering the tournament. Players competing in two events are restricted to the following options:
1 Singles & 1 Doubles 1 Singles & 1 Mixed Doubles 1 Doubles & 1 Mixed Doubles PLEASE NOTE: Entry into two divisions may require you to play back to back matches. You may NOT play in two of the same divisions. Ex. Men's 3.0 singles and Men's 3.5 singles.

Match Schedule
Detail match schedules will be posted by end of day July 24, 2017. Matches begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Weekend matches will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Scoring and Draw Format
*Singles draws that have 4 or fewer players will use a round robin format. *All matches will use a 10 point tie break in lieu of a 3rd set. *Men's OPEN Singles/Doubles will be best 2 out of 3 tie-break sets. *We reserve the right to change scoring as needed in case of inclement weather.

Winner and finalist awards will be given for all main draw divisions.

Rankings and Rating
The Elvis "Return to Server" is a Southern NTRP Clay Court Championships! What does this mean? From your incredible play, you will receive southern ranking points, and earn a year end Southern ranking! For those of you concerned about how this might effect your NTRP rating….match results will NOT be included in your NTRP computer ratings. So, play hard and not only will your record go "Gold", but you may also be crowned the best in the South!

Tournament Check-in Procedure
Please check-in at least 30 minutes before your first match and 15 minutes prior to every other match throughout the tournament. The check-in desk is located at the Annex on the left side of the street at Cooper Creek Tennis Center.

Playing Site
Cooper Creek Tennis Center is a public facility with a two story clubhouse overlooking 39 rubico courts. In 1996 and again in 2001, Cooper Creek Tennis Center received the "Outstanding Tennis Facilty" award from the USTA. In the spring of 1993, a clubhouse and 8 courts were added to the original 12 courts (built in 1972). In March of 1997, the original 12 courts were completely renovated. In December of 1999, construction began on an additional 10 courts including a stadium court and were completed in April 2000 with the addition of these new courts, An expansion completed in 2017 added 9 additional clay courts and 14 hard courts. Cooper Creek is arguably the finest facility in the United States. Directions to Cooper Creek Tennis Center: 4816 Milgen Road, Columbus, GA (706) 317-4186. Take I-185 to Exit 7 (Manchester Expressway). Turn east onto Manchester Expressway. Travel approximately 2 miles to the Warm Springs Road Connector. Travel up the exit ramp and turn right. The entrance to Cooper Creek Park is directly ahead. The clubhouse is a two-story building located on your right as you enter the park.

LATE ENTRANTS - USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into all USTA GA tournaments, Levels 1-5, in the event that the draw is not full, provided that such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late entries.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
