Tournament Policies:
-Online Waiver must be completed by SUNDAY MAY 29th
in order to participate. It is a very easy process and just takes a
few minutes. Enter the parent's email address where it asks for the
Coach's email address:

-Registration: Players must register online via
TennisLink -Providing a phone # & email address when
registering is required so we can reach you in the event of
schedule changes
-Refunds will NOT be made after entries are closed
-Late Entries will NOT be accepted
-ALL eligible registered players will be selected
-Players may enter ONLY 1 Age Division for BG12-18s
(Players, if qualified, may participate in both the 10s Green Ball
and 12s Yellow Ball events)
-Special Scheduling Requests must be made in writing to the
Tournament Director prior to the entry deadline and will ONLY be
considered if they are to accommodate an entrant's graduation or
the graduation of an entrant's immediate sibling. SATs (or any
other test offered on multiple dates each year) are not an
acceptable reason.
-Match Times: Players are responsible for looking up their
match times online.
-Match Time Changes: Once match times are published on
TennisLink, every effort will be made to avoid changes. However,
withdrawals can necessitate a remake of the draw, causing match
times to change. If needed, the TD will use the email/phone #
provided during registration to contact you.
-Tournament Format (12s-18s): MAIN Draw Matches (2 out of 3
FULL sets using Regular Scoring. Playoff for 3rd & 4th place.
Main draw feeds into Back Draw through the Quarterfinals).
CONSOLATION/FIC Matches (2 out of 3 sets using Regular Scoring with
a 10-point Super Tiebreaker in lieu of a 3rd set. Consolation
finals will not be played)
-Tournament Format (10s): ALL Matches 2 out of 3 sets using
Regular Scoring with a 10-point Super Tiebreaker in lieu of a 3rd
set
-Seeding for the tournament will be done using the most
current USTA/Midwest Section standings list at the time the draw is
made.
-Endorsements for the Midwest Closed will be done according
to USTA/Midwest policies (i.e. Eligibility, Appeals, Play &
Complete requirements) which are posted at

QUOTA Spots: Per Midwest policies, the 8 NEO quota spots per
12s-18s age division will be awarded to the semifinalists of the
Main and FIC draws. BUT, those finishers cannot be endorsed unless
they meet the Midwest play and complete requirements. We will
not know the number of 10s quota spots until April 1st.
ALTERNATES: Players will be endorsed as alternates IF they win
at least 1 match AND IF they meet the Midwest play & complete
requirements. WILDCARDS - NEO will NOT offer wildcards in
2016 for endorsement purposes.
-Players Responsibilities related to endorsements: Players
must register for the Midwest Closed within 24 hours of the
completion of the Qualifier in order to be eligible for
endorsement. If an Endorsed Player or Alternate becomes unable to
participate in the Midwest Closed, they must immediately inform the
Tournament Director at sara@neota.midwest.usta.com
-Names of Endorsees (Quota and Alternates) will be posted on
the NEOTA website following the completion of the tournament at:

-DRESS CODE: No reference to drugs, violence, alcohol, or
foul language may appear on player attire and non-marking shoes
must be worn. Players who do not comply will be asked to change
clothes. This will be at the discretion of the tournament
staff/officials. If you are wondering if something will be
permitted, please consult with the Tournament Director or Referee
in advance. If the host facility has a specific dress code, players
will have to abide by it as well.
-ADDITIONAL DRESS GUIDELINES: Players are asked to wear
proper, modest tennis attire during their matches. What tennis
professionals wear during tournament play is a good guide to
follow. Please notice that what the pros wear during their
tournament matches is typically nicer and more modest than what
they wear during their practice sessions.
