THIS IS THE 30th ANNIVERSARY OF THE J.P. YAMASAKI / ORANGE COUNTY (LEVEL 2)
I started the JP Yamasaki along with his parents John and Kay in December of 1986. At first it was a tournament just to remember a young man whose life ended to soon that I had coached , but it very quickly became a Classic Tournament that everyone wanted to play. I still use the same traditional trophies of wood and marble and I also continue to play at the best facilities in Orange County. This year especially, I see more of the former players of the 80's and 90's having their kids play this special tournament. I hear them talk how they knew JP. John and Kay will be very honored to hear that so many former players now have their kids entered. I always encourage the players in this tournament to perform at their highest level and be prepared for long and difficult matches. Have a great tournament. Mike Nelson / Tournament Director JP Yamasaki (30years)
