IMPT: New Withdrawal Rule - Please Read
In 2016, there is a new regulation for Super Champ Designated Tournaments which end on a Monday or Tuesday. Players are required to inform the tournament desk or tournament director the day before of their intent not to complete their matches on the last day of the tournament. This must occur no later than 6pm Sunday for tournaments that end on Monday or within 15 minutes of completing their final match of the day (whichever is later). For this tournament, all players must inform the site our tournament director by Sunday at 6pm for Monday (11/21) matches. The director will inform the opponent immediately of any withdrawals. Players who pull out after Sunday at 6pm will have their match coded as a withdrawal and will receive no points for their wins in that tournament. If a player gets injured or ill after that 6pm deadline and they think it's important to "keep their points" they (the player) will need to physically show up on Monday morning and pull out in person in order to have that match coded a walkover and retain their points.

Doubles Registration
A very important change to note is the correct way to register for doubles online, which will be strictly enforced in 2016 for Super Champ Designated Tournaments. Players may register with or without a partner. Those who register with a partner must indicate their partner through the online registration system before the entry deadline. Players will need to correctly identify their doubles partner during their initial registration process or they may go back later, prior to the entry deadline, and “Edit Registration” to indicate their partner of choice. Correct doubles registration is the player’s responsibility. Immediately after registering, players need to check the Applicant List to ensure they are registered with their partner of choice (and their partner is also registered with them). If both players do not register with each other online, then they will become an individually registered doubles player and be paired with another individually registered doubles player based on the order of the current Standings list. Tournament Directors will not accept any request for changes in doubles partners at any time.

Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. Inappropriate umpire/spectator communication, whether it be about a ruling or any other facet of a tennis event is prohibited while a match is in progress. Being a parent, coach, etc. does not endow special privileges. With the only exception of the right to remove their own child from competition at any time, a parent or coach is merely a spectator.
|
USTA Texas "No Late Entries" Policy for Juniors Due to a new USTA Texas internal procedure, junior division players will NOT be able to register for a tournament after the online published deadline. We are aware that currently parents reach out via email or phone to the USTA Texas staff and/or tournament director requesting to be manually added to the tournament after online registration has closed. If a player misses the registration deadline, then he/she will not be permitted to participate in that tournament
|
Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.
|
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Monday, November 7, 2016 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
