REFUND POLICY
Tournament Event Fees are Non-Refundable/Transferrable. Maintaining our no refund/transfer policy is fundamental to our integrity as an association. While the Tournament was canceled, contracts are still obligated, supplies have still been purchased and costs are still incurred since staff, officials and facility sites have to be available all weekend in the event that we can play. The DTA cannot make exceptions and refund one player, while explaining to another player, who did not receive a refund why another would receive a refund without embarrassment, which means it’s wrong. We either win in a way that is fair and right or we lose with our reputation intact and accept the consequences. There is nothing that matters more to the DTA than our integrity as a non-profit association. Our goal remains that are players know with absolute certainty that they can trust DTA to be fair and consistent. All League, Weekend Events and Tournament Fees benefit our Dallas Tennis and Education Academy. Please see our website www.dta.org to learn more about our charitable programs.

All draws should be correct. PLEASE RECHECK IN MORNING in case of overnight withdraws. Thank you again for your understanding and patience.
Draws have been redone. All main draw singles had to be unscheduled then rescheduled using the parameters for the shortened format. Draws were remixed in this process. I have spoken with the section and I have taken the draws down so that we can make sure that opponents have stayed the same in each draw. If they have not we will be arrange each draw so that they are the same as they were. This will take some time to do so your continued patience is appreciated.

Texas Tier 4 SCMZ Seeding and Selection on UTR (April, July, August, and December)
Effective immediately, all seeding and selection will be based on Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) for the 2016 April, July, August and December Texas Tier 4 Super Champ Major Zones (SCMZ). Doubles seeding and selection will be generated based on the pairings combined UTR. We will no longer be allowing the top 5 players of a younger age group to automatically qualify for the A draw. However, they will have the opportunity to qualify for the A draw based on their UTR. For more information regarding UTR please click "see more."

|
UTR Selection Timing
Each player's Universal Tennis Rating will be pulled from the system between 8 AM - 12 Noon on Wednesday, November 23rd. The UTR's pulled from this time period will be used for the entire pre-tournament process including splitting, seeding, pairing doubles teams, and replacing players.
|
Doubles Registration
A very important change to note is the correct way to register for doubles online, which will be strictly enforced in 2016 for Super Champ Designated Tournaments. Players may register with or without a partner. Those who register with a partner must indicate their partner through the online registration system before the entry deadline. Players will need to correctly identify their doubles partner during their initial registration process or they may go back later, prior to the entry deadline, and “Edit Registration” to indicate their partner of choice. Correct doubles registration is the player’s responsibility. Immediately after registering, players need to check the Applicant List to ensure they are registered with their partner of choice (and their partner is also registered with them). If players have not both indicated each other as their partner, they will both be paired up as individuals based on their UTRs. Players who sign up for doubles as individuals will be paired up with another individual based on their UTR. Players must compete in the same age division for singles and doubles.

Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. Inappropriate umpire/spectator communication, whether it be about a ruling or any other facet of a tennis event is prohibited while a match is in progress. Being a parent, coach, etc. does not endow special privileges. With the only exception of the right to remove their own child from competition at any time, a parent or coach is merely a spectator.
|
USTA Texas "No Late Entries" Policy for Juniors Due to a new USTA Texas internal procedure, junior division players will NOT be able to register for a tournament after the online published deadline. We are aware that currently parents reach out via email or phone to the USTA Texas staff and/or tournament director requesting to be manually added to the tournament after online registration has closed. If a player misses the registration deadline, then he/she will not be permitted to participate in that tournament
|
Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.
