Texas Tier 4 SCMZ Seeding and Selection on UTR (April, July, August, and December)
Effective immediately, all seeding and selection will be based on Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) for the 2016 April, July, August and December Texas Tier 4 Super Champ Major Zones (SCMZ). Doubles seeding and selection will be generated based on the pairings combined UTR. We will no longer be allowing the top 5 players of a younger age group to automatically qualify for the A draw. However, they will have the opportunity to qualify for the A draw based on their UTR. For more information regarding UTR please click "see more."

|
UTR Selection Timing
Each player's Universal Tennis Rating will be pulled from the system between 8 AM - 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 6th. The UTR's pulled from this time period will be used for the entire pre-tournament process including splitting, seeding, pairing doubles teams, and replacing players.
|
April B Draw Winners
The April Super Champ Major Zone will be the last SCMZ where previous B draw winners will be automatically placed into the A draw. Any winners of the singles B draws in December will be placed in the A draw for April if they sign up for the same age division. Winners of the singles B draws in the April SCMZ will not be automatically placed into the A draw in the July SCMZ. The remaining SCMZs in July, August, and December will only be split and seeded based on Universal Tennis Rating.

Doubles Registration
A very important change to note is the correct way to register for doubles online, which will be strictly enforced in 2016 for Super Champ Designated Tournaments. Players may register with or without a partner. Those who register with a partner must indicate their partner through the online registration system before the entry deadline. Players will need to correctly identify their doubles partner during their initial registration process or they may go back later, prior to the entry deadline, and “Edit Registration” to indicate their partner of choice. Correct doubles registration is the player’s responsibility. Immediately after registering, players need to check the Applicant List to ensure they are registered with their partner of choice (and their partner is also registered with them). Tournament Directors will not accept any request for changes in doubles partners at any time. Players who sign up for doubles as individuals will be paired up with another individual based on their UTR. Players must compete in the same age division for singles and doubles.
