WITHDRAWALS DUE TO WEATHER POLICY
We understand the challenges that a wet tournament like this one poses to parents and players. Therefore we want to inform everyone of the withdrawal policy. Any player who chooses to withdraw from the Summer Grand Slam for any reason, including weather, WILL NOT incur suspension points and WILL receive points all matches completed. In order to withdraw, you MUST email the tournament director at TXGrandSlam@outlook.com prior to your match. Default no shows WILL incur 4 suspension points and WILL NOT receive points for this tournament.

NEW USTA REGULATION IV.D. (Point Penalty System)
IV.D.15. Timing of imposition of penalties. An official who is on the court shall impose penalties before the start of the next point. An official who is not on the court has a reasonable amount of time to reach the court and impose the penalty even if intervening points have been played. Any intervening points stand as played.

Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

Please email cmurray@texas.usta.com if you have questions. Include your name, division and reason for withdrawing. Written notification (email is sufficient) is required for withdrawals after the entry deadline as per USTA rules. There are no refunds for withdrawals after the entry deadline or for weather related cancellations.
