Player SEEDING and Selection

Player selection will be done based on the following criteria: 1 – Eight (8) players from the top 100 of the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in next lower division. 2 – 56 players from the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the current age division of the event.

Seeding
The top four (4) seeds will be determined using UTR (Universal Tennis Rating). The remaining 12 seeds will be determined from the most recent USTA/Midwest Standings list.

Scoring
The Singles Main Draw will play best 2 out of 3 tiebreak sets and Consolation will play regular scoring in best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10-point super tiebreak in lieu of a third set. The Consolation round stops at the semi-finals.

Warm-up/Practice Courts/DVD's
Players can reserve practice courts, but please wait until First Match Start times are posted as there are no refunds or changes of reservations unless your match time changes. Let the staff know that you are part of the tournament and receive a discounted court fee of $13.50 per half hour or $27 per hour. (NO guest fees.)ALL matches will be recorded onto DVD's and available for purchase.

First match times will be available on the Wednesday before the tournament begins by 6PM.
Come back to this page and click on the blue “Future Match Info Report” to find out your first time as well as your Win/Loss time (W/L). Please be careful when reading this. The W/L times are in parentheses. Players from the same district will not play each other first round unless an alternate fills a spot or more than half the draw is from the same district.

Saturday: 2 rounds of main draw and 2 rounds of consolation singles Sunday: 2 rounds of main draw and 3 rounds of consolation singles Monday: 2 rounds of main draw and 2 rounds of consolation singles

USTA/Midwest Section Domicile Rules:
The USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the district qualifiers, the USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and USTA/Midwest Section Junior Davis and Wightman Cup events are open to citizens of the US, permanent resident aliens in possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals who are applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and who can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated form I-485, aliens who have resided continuously in the US for more than one year and who are members of families of persons in the diplomatic or consular corps and aliens who have been granted Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.
