Player Selection
Player selection will be done based on the following criteria: 1 – Four (4) players from the top 100 of the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in next lower division. 2 – 52 players from the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the current age division of the event. 3 - 8 players selected using UTR
The top 4 seeds will be selected using UTR.

Scoring
The Singles Main Draw will play best 2 out of 3 tiebreak sets and Consolation will play regular scoring in best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10-point super tiebreak in lieu of a third set. The Consolation round stops at the semi-finals.

Hotel Information
The host hotel for the tournament is the Hilton Garden Inn, Mayfield Village, and is located just down the road from the club. The rate is $109 + taxes per night (includes breakfast) and can be obtained by calling 440/646-1777 and using rate code "2LV." The hotel address is: Hilton Garden Inn, 700 Beta Drive, Mayfield Village, OH 44143 This is a nice Hilton Garden Inn and is one minute from the club.

Warm-up/Practice Courts
Warm-up courts are available throughout the weekend including: Friday night Saturday morning/early afternoon Sunday morning The rate is $25 for one hour or $12.50 for a half-hour. Please call 440/461-8105 to reserve a warm-up court and inform the staff that you are part of the December Designated tournament. You will need to pay with a credit card and there are no refunds once you have booked the court. Players that make it through to Monday will be permitted to warm-up between 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. at no charge on that day only.

First match times will be available on the Wednesday before the tournament begins by 6PM.
Come back to this page and click on the blue “Future Match Info Report” to find out your first time as well as your Win/Loss time (W/L). Please be careful when reading this. The W/L times are in parentheses. Players from the same district will not play each other first round unless an alternate fills a spot or more than half the draw is from the same district.

A minimum of 8 courts will be used.

Order of Play:
Saturday: 2 rounds of main draw and 2 rounds of consolation singles (1st Rd. matches will not begin before noon) Sunday: 2 rounds of main draw and 3 rounds of consolation singles Monday: 2 rounds of main draw and 2 rounds of consolation singles

If you do not provide an email address and/or cell number(s) when you register for this tournament, then we will not be able to notify you about any possible changes in the tournament.

Awards
Trophies will be given to the following players: Champion, Finalist, 3rd & 4th place, and FIC Semi-Finalists. In addition, a Sportsmanship trophy will be awarded.

USTA/Midwest Section Domicile Rules:
The USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the district qualifiers, the USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and USTA/Midwest Section Junior Davis and Wightman Cup events are open to citizens of the US, permanent resident aliens in possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals who are applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and who can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated form I-485, aliens who have resided continuously in the US for more than one year and who are members of families of persons in the diplomatic or consular corps and aliens who have been granted Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.
