First match times are posted above along with playing site. "CC" is Cooper Creek Tennis Center; "CCC" is Columbus Country Club. Reminder: If I have ALL forms and waivers and you do not make it to player registration/check-in on Friday night and your first match is at Columbus Country Club you can come by Cooper Creek later to pick up player bag. I must have received ALL completed forms before playing your first match.

Player Registration / Tournament Check-In Mandatory
check-in/player party for the tournament will be on Friday, Sept 4th, from 5:00 PM to
8:00 PM (EST) at the Cooper Creek Tennis Center. We will have a reception for players at that time with great appetizers and snacks to get you ready for your matches. Treadstone Climbing Gym (http://www.treadstoneclimbing.com/) will be onsite for players to try a climbing wall.
If you are absolutely
unable to make the Friday check-in, you must check-in at Cooper Creek Tennis
Center on Saturday at least one hour before your first match.
At
check-in please have the Medical Release Form, the CORTA Waiver and Hotel
Information Sheet filled out and signed by a parent/guardian. If you
checked in on Friday, report directly to your site 30 minutes prior to your
match time on Saturday.

SEEDING INFORMATION - NEW PROCEDURE
In an effort to provide greater transparency and understanding of how USTA Southern seeds will be determined for USTA Southern L 1, 1A and 2 events, FAC (Friend at Court) method II.A.4.b., which provides for a computerized system of rankings or standings. The Junior Competition Committee approved the below chart that the Tournament Seeding Committees, with assistance from the USTA Southern staff, shall utilize to determine seeds.

Entering Two Divisions:
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1A, 2, and 3 tournaments. #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Process When Singles Registration Closes
Singles registration closes Sunday, August 23, 2015 11:59 PM. After registration closes ... To enter email send email to: cissy@corta.org Late entries will be processed on a first come - first serve basis. Late entries that effect the seeding are NOT allowed. Late entries will be taken until 12:00 midnight, Thursday Aug. 27th. Please include the player's name and usta# with request. Please call the CORTA office at 706-317-4136 to give payment information.

FORMAT
128 draw for both single divisions. FIC through the RD of 16 with Quarterfinal playoff. In 1A Championships, the quarterfinalist losers automatically go into their own back draw. The four losers will play and then the two winners for 5th & 6th place. The 7th & 8th place do not play. Doubles divisions consist of 64 teams. Single elimination for doubles draw. 8 game pro set will be played with a tie break at 8 games all. A 3/4 playoff shall be played in both singles and doubles.

PLAYING SITES
Matches will be held at Cooper Creek Tennis Center (Main Site) and Columbus Country Club.
Cooper Creek Tennis Center (Main Site) is located at 4816 Milgen Road Columbus, Georgia 31909 Cooper Creek Tennis Center is a public facility with a two-story clubhouse overlooking 30 newly resurfaced clay courts. There are walking and bike paths on site. Directions to Cooper Creek Tennis Center from I-185: Take I-185 S to Exit 7 (Manchester Expressway). Turn east onto Manchester Expressway. Travel approximately 2 miles to the Warm Springs Road Connector. Travel up the exit ramp and turn right. The entrance to Cooper Creek Park is directly ahead. The clubhouse is a two-story building located on the right as you enter the park. Tournament check-in desk will be on the left side of the road at the annex building. Country Club of Columbus is located at 2610 Cherokee Avenue Columbus, Georgia 31906 706 323 9116 The Country Club of Columbus has eleven courts, ten clay and one all weather court. Directions to Country Club of Columbus from Cooper Creek Tennis Center: Take a left at the light on Milgen Road. Travel approximately 3.5 miles. At the sixth traffic light turn left. (Hilton Avenue to the left/Woodruff Road to the right.) Cross the railroad tracks and turn right on Camille Drive(this street merges with Cherokee Avenue) The Country Club will be about 1 mile on your left. (Note: Milgen Road changes names. Milgen Road=Gentian Boulevard=Warm Springs Road)

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
Based on 128 draw size in Singles and 64 draw size for Doubles. Saturday – 1 round Doubles, 2 rounds Main draw singles, 1 round Consolation. Sunday – 2 round Doubles, 2 rounds Consolation singles, 2 rounds Main draw singles. Monday – QF Doubles, 2 rounds Consolation singles, 2 rounds Main draw singles, SF Doubles. Tuesday – F and 3/4 playoff Doubles, 2 rounds Consolation singles, F and 3/4 playoff Main draw singles. Please note that the Consolation will not be completed. This schedule is subject to change with inclement weather. The quarterfinal losers automatically go into their own back draw. The four losers will play and then the two winners for 5/6 place. The 7/8 place will not playoff.

PRACTICE / WARM-UP COURTS
Practice / Warm-up courts will be available all day Friday. The charge is $2.00/hr. Although Cooper Creek Tennis Center does not take reservations, there should be plenty of courts. Cooper Creek Tennis Center is open until 8:00pm on Friday. During the tournament, warm-up courts are available starting at 7:00am. Also, during the day hard courts are available any time of day at Columbus State University. The address is 4225 University Ave, Columbus, GA 31907. The locked varsity courts at Columbus State University are not for
public use. There are unlocked public courts available on a first come
first serve basis. If you make the decision to climb the fence to enter
the locked varsity courts campus security will be called.

Entry into Tournament
This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

LATE ENTRANTS - USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into all USTA GA tournaments, Levels 1-5, in the event that the draw is not full, provided that such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late entries.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, August 23, 2015 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
