LEVEL 5 MIDWEST USTA POINTS PER ROUND and NO NATIONAL POINTS
PER ROUND
TOURNAMENT WILL BE A 32 DRAW SINGLES AND INCLUDE A FEED-IN
CONSOLATION.
Due to this being a two day event, the Main Draw and Consolation
will play a Match Tiebreak (Supertiebreak) in lieu of the third
set, with up to three matches a day for both the Main Draw and
Consolation. The Main Draw will be completed and the FIC
consolation will stop at the Finals.
PLAYER SELECTION AND NUMBERED ALTERNATE LIST WILL BE POSTED BY
MONDAY , APRIL 15th BY 6PM
PRACTICE COURTS
Limited practice courts will be available Friday evening as well as
Saturday and Sunday morning before play begins for a reduced rate
of $28/hour. Reservations must be made via email to
gactournaments@gmail.com or by text to Jason Wisser (517) 320-3284.
This is so we have a written record of your reservation.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION SEEDING & SELECTION CRITERIA
All USTA/Midwest Sectional and Designated Tournaments will adhere
to the following Seeding and Selection Criteria as set by the
USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition Committee. Players will be
selected based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing
List at the time of the tournament entry deadline. Players will be
selected by the following 1. Four (4) players from the top 100 of
the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in next lower
division (except in the boys and girls 12s divisions where 2
players will be selected) 2. 28 players from the most current
USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the current age division of
the event (except in the boys and girls 12s division where 30
players will be accepted) Remaining vacancies and/or alternates
will be selected from the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the
division of the event. Alternates will be numbered with this
Midwest Standings List. Seeding will be done based on the
USTA/Midwest Section Standing List the following week.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION SUSPENSION POINT SYSTEM AND SIGNING UP FOR
TWO TOURNAMENTS
BEFORE THE DEADLINE- Signing up for two events: The USTA
Code of Conduct and Suspension Point System that has been adopted
by the USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition Committee is in
effect. An email MUST be sent to each Tournament Director
BEFORE the entry deadline informing them which events you
are signing up for. All players who DO NOT will be given
five (5) suspension points for entering two or more tournaments
that take place at the same time, in whole or in part. This applies
to all players who signed up for the tournament INCLUDING
Alternates. You are expected to play the entire event as scheduled.

INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION PLAYER MULTIPLE ENTRY GUIDELINES FOR LEVEL
1-5 TOURNAMENTS ONLY:
Players may register for multiple USTA/Midwest Section 1-5
Tournaments and Age Divisions held during the same dates. However,
in order to avoid receiving five USTA/Midwest Section points, a
player must adhere to the following requirements. The following
timelines have been established and all players must adhere to in
order to avoid receiving five suspension points and/or receiving a
refund for multiple entries:
*15 Days prior to the start of the tournament:
Entry deadlines for all USTA/Midwest Section Level 1-5
events.
*11 Days prior to the start of the tournament:
All players who are accepted into more than one Tournament and/or
Age Division shall have until 6:00 p.m. to withdraw from all
Tournaments and/or Age Divisions other than the one they choose to
play. To withdraw from a Tournament or Age Division, the player
must notify the Tournament Director by email that the player wishes
to withdraw. All players who have been accepted into more than one
Tournament and/or Age Division and who have not withdrawn from all
Tournaments and/or Age Divisions other than the one they choose to
play in, by 6:00 p.m. will be eligible to receive five USTA/Midwest
Section suspension points. All players that comply with receive a
refund of the tournament entry fee minus the TennisLink processing
fee.
*8 Days prior to the start of the tournament:
1. All players who have been accepted into a Tournament may remain
on the alternate list for other Tournaments or Age Divisions.
However, players must decide by 6:00 p.m. EST whether they will
play in the Tournament they were accepted into or whether they will
remain on the alternate list of another Tournament and/or Age
Division. All players who decide to play in the Tournament they
were accepted into must notify by email the Tournament Director of
each Tournament where they are on the alternate list that they no
longer wish to remain on the alternate list. All players who decide
to remain on the alternate list of another Tournament or Age
Division, must notify by email the Tournament Director of the
Tournament they were accepted into that they are withdrawing from
the Tournament. No refunds will be available.
Players not accepted into a tournament may remain on the alternate
lists of multiple tournaments. However, players on multiple
alternate lists who are accepted into a Tournament must remove
themselves from all alternate lists by notifying the Tournament
Director by email immediately that they wish to be removed from the
alternate list. Players who fail to do so will be eligible to
receive five USTA/Midwest Section suspension points.
SCORING
All Main Draw and Consolation matches will play a Matchtiebreak
(Supertiebreak) in lieu of the third set with advantage scoring on
all matches. Some players may be playing up to three matches in a
day. A player will be entitled to a three minute break after
splitting sets and before playing the Matchtiebreak.
FIRST ROUND REPORT TIME INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17th AT 6PM.

Info Report to find out your first match time. Please do not
call the club for your start times, our front desk does not have
them. Players from the same district will not play each other first
round unless an alternate fills a spot or more than half the draw
is from the same district.
ORDER OF PLAY
SATURDAY Play begins at 8am. Main Draw will play the Rd of
32, Rd of 16 and Quarters and the FIC will play the Qualifying Rd
of 16 and the Rd of 16.
SUNDAY Play begins at 9am. Main Draw will play Semis and
Finals. FIC will play up to Finals.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, April 12, 2013 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
