Sportsmanship:
The Sportsmanship Award is an exemplary award for showing by example how to just play the game of tennis while on court without drama, but with appreciation and acknowledgement of your opponent throughout the entire game because of the competition presented on both sides of the net. Tennis is not just about winning, it is a character builder woven within the sport on how to handle defeat and being respectful with a win…Thanks and Congratulations to all the selected players for this years 2013 Johnson Ranch Jr. Excellence Tournament…

DOUBLES FORMAT:
The Format for the Doubles is an 8 game Pro Set with a 10 point Tiebreaker at 8 games all. Remember to try and sign up with a doubles partner from your own age division. If you chose to play up in the doiubles (ex: G14 singles and G16s doubles) remember that the combined points are only for the same age division of Singles and Doubles.
All players are limited to one age group when registering...There is no moving a player down to a lower age group because a player was not selected in the first registered group. Once the Top 32 players are selected in a group, it is not fair to move a player down in age who would surely be in the top 32 and displace a player that was initially selected...We do not bump players out of their spot because another player with a lower ranking was moved from another age group. Not fair and will not happen in the selection process...So once you have selected your age group to register in that is where a player will remain....Thanks
Doubles Format will be an 8 game pro set, single elimination...At 8 games all a 10 point Tiebreaker will decide the match.
Please register on time, because we are not accepting any late entries. So try not to wait until the last day and the last minute to register and miss the deadline, because there will be no exceptions when it comes to allowing players a late entry into the event...
