Tournament Awards
Events that are playing at Diamond Lakes TC, Fleming TC, Rae's Creek, and River View Park must come back to Newman Tennis Center for the Awards Presentation.
Each Draw (Red,White) will be awarded Trophies: Winner Finalist 3rd Place 4th Place the Consolation Winner and finalist will be a coin toss for the trophy but not the points. There are no trophies for the dependent draws.

Dependent Draws
B & G 12-18 Events: Dependent Draws are for players who lose in first round of the consolation, and play one round unless there is a bye.
Boys and Girls 10s: Since there was not a first round consolation match in either event, their dependent draw will be for players who lose in the second round of the consolation (Consolation Quarterfinal Round) and they will play one round unless there is a bye.

Playing Format and Scoring
32 players will be selected for each event (see selection process headline) and then be split into two Draws of 16 players using the Waterfall System for selection (see Waterfall Headline), with a Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff. IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE CURRENT GEORGIA RECULATIONS: All draws (10-18) will play the best two out of three tie-break sets with a Match tie break in lieu of the third set. The Finals of the Consolation will not be scheduled and will not be played.
Boys and Girls 10's will play on the 60 foot court using Orange Low Compression Balls and 25" racquest.
In the event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change.

Dress Code
The Tournament committee has set A dress code in this Tournament The Rules to which all participants are expected to adhere. These Rules are based on our community standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. Good manners on and off the court will be required of all participants, coaches and family at all times.
Proper tennis attire should be worn. For females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. For males proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect our standards and adhere to our rules. Failure to do so will result in the player being required to change prior to the match. This delay may result in penalties (PPS) being assessed .

Friday Night Check In and Tournament Dinner / Saturday Check In
We will have the friday check in at Wood Park Community Center (1866 Highland Ave., Augusta, GA 30909). Directions: coming from I-20: exit I-20 at exit 196A and follow I-520 to exit 2 (wrightsboro rd) turn left onto wrightsboro road and follow 3 miles. You will pass Newman Tennis Center on your left, and go another mile to the corner of Highland Ave. The Air Port is on your right and as you turn it will remain on your right. Follow Highland Ave. for 1/4 mile and Wood Park Community Center will be on your left, before the Fire Station.
Check in and dinner will be from 5 to 8 pm. All players, parents and family, and coaches are welcome.
Players that do not check in on Friday must come to Newman Tennis Center on Saturday and check in. Players should check in at least one hour prior to their first match and then they my proceed to their playing site.

First match times are up and the draws will be published at 1pm on Friday.

Weather and First Match Times
Be sure to dress warmly as the high will be in the mid 50's on Saturday and Sunday. We will be starting first matches at all sites at 8:30 AM.

Waterfall and Seedings
The Waterfall of players was completed using the order of selection followed by seeding each draw separately. Players from the lower age group that meet the seeding requirements were seeded.

RV: River View Park Information
The boys 14's are playing at RV except for the last two matches of the White draw. Please check your match time and location carefully to insure your are going to the correct site.
RV has some construction (rebuilding their courts) and you will need to navigate around the constuction and park in the lower parking area below the courts. Make sure you get there atleast 30 minutes prior to your scheduled match.

Selections/Alternate list/withdraw proceedures
Selections have been made and the alternate list has been ordered. If you are withdrawing from the alternate list please e-mail the TD. If you are entering another tournament you must withdraw from this tournament when you enter that tournament.
If you are withdrawing from the Main Draw you have until noon on Saturday Jan. 7th to do so and receive a full refund.

Tournament Deadline/Selections/Waterfall/Draws Made
The tournament Deadline is 11:59 PM on Jan. 4th. The selections will be made and Published by the afternoon of Jan. 5th. The Waterfall selection process and Draws will be made on Wed. Jan. 11th and First Match times will be published by Noon the the 12th.

New STA LEVEL 3 Tournament Format
As of Jan. 2012 all USTA Southern Junior Level 3 tournaments will be following the following format unless specifically state on their tournament web site. Highlights of the New Format are as follows:
ALL LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENTS WILL BE HELD OVER A TWO DAY PERIOD (SATURDAY AND SUNDAY) UNLESS APPROVED BY THE STA.
1. All tournaments shall have two 16 balanced draws in each age division.
2. Two 16 draws will be determined by use of the waterfall system.
3. Format: Will be a feed in with an dependent draw for the losers of the first feed in match. This will guarantee three matches.
4. If number of participants goes under 24 (23 and under), one draw will be used instead.
5. Format will remain the same for all Level 3 events. The only change will be for an Indoor event which will be able to add one day.
6. Seeding shall follow the USTA Southern Section seeding regulations. Players selected on their 10’s standing shall not be considered for seeding in the 12’s division.
7. Scoring: Tie Break in lieu of the third set shall be used in all matches. Short scoring: No ad scoring or “Short” sets, first player/team to win four games wins the set provided there is a two game margin over the opponent(s), may be used due to inclement weather. Before changing format due to inclement weather, this must be approved by Section and State.
8. 10's will play on 60ft court using Orange Low Compression balls and 25" racquets Scoring: will be the best of three short sets,with No-Add Scoring, using a set (7pt) tie break at 4 all, with a set (7pt) tie break in lieu of the third set.THIS WILL NOT BE THE FORMAT FOR THE DASANI MAYORS CUP.
9. NEW LEVEL 3 POINTS TABLE: More points for Level 3 tournaments.
10. With the smaller draws more players will receive more points.

Selection Process
Because this is a Level 3 STA Event the following Selection Process is being used: Top 32 players applying from the usta/southern latest standings list. For Boys and Girls 12-18: 28 players from this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 28, will be selected. The names of the player who have been selected will appear as competitors. Aternates are listed in the report section. Do not refer to the alternates on the far left side of the web page after competitors have been listed. (that list is not updated).
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. they would be removed from the other age division. #2. players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. they would be removed from the alternate list in the other division. #3. players selected to one age division woud be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Waterfall System for Spliting Competitors
The players will be ordered using current standings and players from the younger age group that met the selection requirements added to the player list. The 32 players will be split as follows:
Red 1, 4,5, 8,9, 12,13, 16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32
Blue 2,3 6,7, 10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31
Seeding will be made after the player have been split. Players from the lower age group that were selected and meet the seeding criteria will be seeded according to the STA directions.

Withdrawing and Refunds from the Tournament
Refunds: To receive a refund for the tournament you must withdraw prior to Noon on Saturday Jan. 7th. The draw will be made at Noon on Wed. January 11th at Newman Tennis Center.
If you have entered and wish to withdraw prior to the entry deadline please go to the tournament web page and click on Edit Registration. You will need your confirmation number that you received in your confirmation e-mail to complete the process.

No Doubles in this Tournament
Because of the length of the day and weather issues we will not include Doubles in this tournament.

We will be using USPTA Pro Penn Extra Duty tennis balls for this tournament.

Withdrawing from a match or Tournament/Refund Policy (Weather)
A player shall not enter a tournament and then withdraw when the player discovers that tough opponents have also entered. A player may withdraw from a match or tournament only because of injury, illness, or personal emergency. A player who cannot play a match shall notify the Referee at once so that the opponent may be saved a trip. A player who withdraws from a tournament is not entitled to the return of the entry fee unless the player withdrew prior to the published refund deadline date.
In the event of inclement weather and you do not play any matches in this tournament you are entitled to a partial refund based on the fixed tournament expenses. Please understand that tournaments have fixed costs which include: Trophies, T-shirts, Balls, USTA Officials, and many other costs that we must cover. The tennislink portion of your entry fee is non-refundable in accordance with USTA policy. If you do complete a match there is no refund/credit. Thank you for your understanding.

GEORGIA LEVEL 2 TOURNAMENT. SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT.
Deadline - 11:59 pm. 32 players will be selected for each event and
then be split into two Draws of 16 players using the Waterfall
System for selection , with a Full Feed in Consolation through the
Quarters and 3/4 playoff. In Compliance with the current Georgia
Regulations: All draws (10-18) will play the best two out of three
tie-break sets with a Match tie break in lieu of the third set. The
Finals of the Consolation will not be scheduled and will not be
played. Boys and Girls 10's will play on the 60 foot court using
Orange Low Compression Balls and 25" racquest. In the event of
inclement weather, match format is subject to change. Players may
sign up for 2 events (for those desiring to play up) but you will
only play in one event. The STA will make those selections as well.
We will have roving unpires at all sites. Early check-in and
tournament dinner will be friday jan. 13th from 5-8 pm at Wood
Park, (see notes for directions). We encourage you to use the
USTA's on-line registration. CHAMPIONSHIP - Open to all players
regardless of ranking.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
