Looks like the rain will stop and we can continue the tournament. All matches that were originally scheduled for 9 AM, 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM are now scheduled for 1:00 PM. All matches that were originally scheduled for 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM are now scheduled for 3:00 PM.

Weather/Start of Play Update, 9:30 a.m., Sunday, April 15 It is raining at Fair Oaks Tennis Center and weather radar shows another band of showers approaching. The 9 AM matches will start at 12:00 NOON. Please check back for updates. Please call 214-670-1495 if you need to withdraw.

Weather/Start of Play Update, 7:30 a.m., Sunday, April 15 Light rain is falling at Fair Oaks and heavier rains are forecasted to move through the area in the next few hours. All play has been suspended until the rains have moved through the area. All 9:00 matches will start at 11:00. Please check this web page for additional updates.

Format
All main draw matches will play 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring. Consolation matches will be 2 sets, regular scoring, with a super tiebreaker in lieu of the third set.

Recovery Rule - Effective Immediately
USTA has mandated that all full two out of three set singles matches shall offer a minimum rest period of two hours. A minimum rest period of two hours is not required for matches using shortened formats, matches using 10-point match tiebreaks in lieu of third set, and all 10 & Under tennis formats.
Super Champ Major Zone "B" Draws (Main & Consolation Draw) will use a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set.
Champ Major Zones (Main Draw) will use a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set through the quarterfinal round. Semifinals and finals will play a full two out of three set match.
Junior Other Tournaments: Depending on draw size the Tournament Director and / or Referee will determine the appropriate match format.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 5, 2012 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
