China Garden Classic - Grand Forks - Junior & Adult - (Boys & Girls - Level 6)

You MUST check-in at Register Tennis Complex (located behind Century Elementary School on the corner of 17th Ave. S. and S. 34th St.) prior to your first match. In the event of rain check-in will be moved to Center Court Fitness Club (1600 32nd Ave. S.) You will be given a tournament shirt and receive torunament information and directions to your site.

Divisions will use first match consolation draws. Draws with less than six players may be scheduled as a round format. 10U divisions are best of 3 short sets (first to win 4 games by a margin of 2.  If the score reaches 4-4, a 7 pt tiebreak is played).  The 7 pt tiebreak shall be played in lieu of a 3rd set.  Racquet – The racquet shall be no longer than 25 inches.  12U divisions will be the best of 2 sets with a 10 pt match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set in main draw and consolation. All other divisions in the main draw will be the best 2 of 3 sets, regular scoring. All doubles, round robin and consolation matches will be 2 of 3 sets, and a 10 tie-break for the third set. If necessary, the tournament committee reserves the right to change the scoring format in order to complete play. USTA rules will apply. Consolation rounds may be cancelled in the event of bad weather.

Immediately after your match, both players or teams must check with the site supervisor to verify your next match time and the match winner(s) should return the balls and report the scores. NOTE: SOME MATCHES IN THE CONSOLATION DRAW ARE "IF NEEDED". THIS MEANS THE MATCH IS DETERMINED BY THE RESULT OF A MATCH IN THE CHJAMPIONSHIP DRAW IN WHICH A PLAYER IS PLAYING HIS OR HER FIRST MATCH. IF THAT PLAYER LOSES, THE MATCH IN THE CONSOLATION DRAW WILL BE PLAYED AS PLAYERS ARE GUARANTEED TWO MATCHES. IF THE PLAYER LOSING IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW HAD PREVIOUSLY WON A MATCH, THAT PLAYER HAS PLAYED TWO MATCHES AND DOES NOT MOVE TO THE CONSOLAION DRAW. IN THIS CASE THE PLAYER IN THE CONSOLATION MATCH WOULD RECEIVE A BYE TO THE NEXT ROUND. FOR CLARIFICATION, IT IS IMPORTANT TO VERIFY YOUR NEXT MATCH TIME WITH THE SITE SUPERVISOR

Tournament sponsor, CHINA GARDEN restaurant will provide vegetable lo mein, beef fried rice, and chicken with sweet and sour sauce on the side. Lunch will be served at the sites from approximately 11:30 - 2:00 PM, on Saturday. Please work in lunch around your match schedule. Hospitality tents have been by tournament sponsor, ACME TOOL CRIB at Register Tennis Complex and Riverside Park.
