This USTA National Cat III event is also a Midwest Section
Championship, senior 55s,60s,65s, & 70s singles at the
Beavercreek Clay Courts Tennis Club (Beavercreek, OH), 14-16 Aug
2020 on HarTur clay courts. This event will consist of a singles
16-player compass draw for each age bracket, National Cat III PPR
points, fast-4 format, so all are guaranteed four matches over the
three days. The first 16 players in each age bracket will be
selected...the tourney will open for entries on May 4th, 2020.
Additional entries will be listed in the alternate list. There will
be a wine-social outside on Saturday evening, lunches provided each
day and free access to the Swim club. We will try to provide free
housing (i.e. local tennis club members will host players for the
weekend) for players that need housing.
Courtyard by Marriot is the host hotel, 2777 Fairfield Commons
Blvd, Beavercreek 45431, 937-429-5203, $119 King or two queens
(please ask for the National BCC tournament). Rooms will be held
until 28July.
Draws & times will be posted by Aug 11th. Practice courts
will be available on Thursday, Aug 13th...please call to reserve
courts.
Matches will start at 8:30am Fri, Aug 14th for the 70s, 10am for
the 65s, 11:30am for the 60s, and 2pm for the 55s. Practice courts
will be available at 7:30am Fri morning. All matches will be in a
Fast4 format. Matches will be played as the best of three sets
(first to 4 games) with a tiebreak (first to five points, sudden
death at four points all) played at three games all with regular
scoring in the sets (we are using regular scoring not no-add
scoring).
The 55s, 60s, and 65s draws have reached the limit of 16...we
are accepting alternates.
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, August 10, 2020 10:00:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
