A HUGE THANK YOU!!
It has truly been an honor hosting this event over the past 14 years, as we've seen the event grow in numbers and stature. This year we had 650 players from 30 states and a great contingent from our Canadian neighbors. We've prided ourselves on creating an event experience second to none in the senior tournament world. We have witnessed some great tennis, made some great friends and have truly been honored to host this event.
We want to thank our major sponsors this year, Wilson, tasc Performance, Comfort Air and Marker Broadcasting.
The tournament could not have reached such heights without the assistance of our great volunteer staff, headed by Sheryl Hershman. She has done a yeoman's job organizing the volunteers and creating an efficient and player-friendly system in the process. Thank you Sheryl for all of your hard work and dedication.
Obviously, the tournament is nothing without you, the players. The level of play over the years has continued to grow as has the participation. Thanks to all of you who have remained loyal to the tournament and we thank you so much for that support.
We do have a huge favor to ask of all of you. As many of you know this was the last Wilson World Tennis Classic that Jayne and I will be running. The event will continue to be held at a new location in 2020, Shadow Mountain Resort in Palm Desert, just 15 minutes from Mission Hills. Caeryn Evans , the tennis director at Shadow Mountain, will be the new tournament director of the Wilson World Tennis Classic. I will be assisting Caerwyn in learning the ropes of running this great tournament and I know he will do a great job. Please give Caerwyn all of the support you have given us and I'm confident you will be rewarded with another great tournament experience.
We wish all of you the very best of health and happiness over the next 12 months and look forward to seeing you at Shadow Mountain in January, 2020!
Cheers!
Ed & Jayne
